Jabbing Shen Mochen’s arm, Peach complained, “Hey, don’t ignore me. If you didn’t ask me to wait for you at the door of your classroom today after school, we wouldn’t have been caught by the Devil Teacher…”

“Umm.” Shen Mochen responded casually and continued doing his homework.

Peach asked persistently, “What do you mean by umm?”

Shen Mochen glanced at her, and asked with a frown, “You’re so noisy. Have you finished your homework?”

“It’s the first day of school today, what homework can there be.” Under his stare, Peach felt slightly guilty, so she hugged her pillow and carefully took a few steps out of the room.

“Oh.” Shen Mochen ignored her again.

Peach was a little annoyed. Normally, it was fine for him to ignore her but even at this moment of life and death, he was still ignoring her.

However, Peach only dared to be angry with Shen Mochen in her heart and did not have the guts to let her anger surface. She still had to cravenly hitch a ride from Shen Mochen on his bicycle to and from school every day.

After thinking about it, Peach decided to keep an eye on him.

Peach threw the pillow in her hand on the bed and rested on the side beside Shen Mochen’s desk. Propping her chin on her hands, she stared at him without even blinking.

Shen Mochen saw her rushing next to his desk all of a sudden. He looked up and glanced at her before pretending not to see her and continuing to do his homework.

Peach’s fair face glowed brightly under the light of the desk lamp, and her big clear eyes twinkled like the stars.

Sigh… She was already staring so intensely at him, why was he not reacting at all?

Peach was a little depressed as she watched Shen Mochen meticulously completing his homework. His long eyelashes cast a shadow under the light and his lips were slightly raised. His long fingers grasping the ballpoint pen, Shen Mochen quickly scribbled the formula down and calculated the answer.

“I’m done.” Taking another look at his workbook, Shen Mochen closed it and nonchalantly threw it into his bag. When he saw that Peach was still persistently laying down next to his desk, he looked at her like he wanted to laugh, “What exactly are you worried about?”

“I don’t have a parent to meet the teacher tomorrow.” Peach rolled her eyes in irritation. She had explained so many times just now, but it appears that he was not even listening to anything she said.

Looking at her, Shen Mochen asked casually, “What’s the matter with that?”

“…” Peach burst into tears. Was it that she could not keep up with Shen Mochen’s train of thoughts? Was he really not an alien?

What did he mean by ‘What’s the matter?’ The Devil Teacher from the Students’ Affairs Office had asked her to bring her parents to school, but none of her parents could make it. Yet, here he was, asking her ‘What’s the matter?’!

It was probably from seeing Peach’s indignant expression, as if she was on the brink of death, that Shen Mochen could not help but laugh.

“What are you afraid of? My dad has no classes tomorrow so he can attend the meeting tomorrow. Since I was young, I’ve never been asked to ask my parents to school.” Shen Mochen rummaged through the CD rack near his desk, and found a CD to place in the computer’s CD drive. Gentle music immediately surrounded the room.

“…”

Peach felt like she was seeing stars.

Was anyone able to tell her what Shen Mochen was talking about? Was he really discussing with her about asking her parents to school? Why could she not keep up with his train of thoughts?

“I’ve already told my dad just now. It’s the first time he’s been called to school. Well… How should I say this… He seemed rather pleased…”
