Chapter 599: Chapter 370: Harboring Filth (Second Update)
“Nonsense, Buddhism has continued in Siam for a thousand years; we are the rightful tradition here.”
Upon hearing Su Jie’s arrogant words, Pamom’s face turned a livid iron hue. It was beyond his wildest dreams that Su Jie would dare claim to be the master of Siam, showing complete disregard for their Buddhist beliefs.
“No matter, as I just said, I will personally teach you to understand the order of hierarchy.”
Su Jie waved his hand, and the Genetic Warriors stepped forward, surrounding the group of monks.
“What are you doing?”
Seeing these three-meter-tall iron cans approach, their fierce and malevolent aura made the monks’ legs tremble.
“Take a trip back to your old home.”
Su Jie turned his head towards Baiya and asked, “You know where their Buddhist temple is, right? Lead the way; I want to see if their Buddhist sect is really as pure as they claim.”
Baiya shuddered, knowing Su Jie had murderous intentions. At this moment, he dared not defy Su Jie’s words and said stiffly, “I know, I know where it is; I can lead the way.”
Liu Yingying also came over at this point and said to Su Jie, “Everything is arranged, the troops are on their way.”
“Please, everyone. Your Buddhist practices are so profound; I shall take this opportunity to learn.”
Su Jie looked at Pamom, a playful smile on his face.
As soon as he finished speaking, the Genetic Warriors moved, escorting the monks away.
Some monks, weak-kneed, were so frightened they could hardly walk; the Genetic Warriors simply picked them up with one hand and forcefully led them away.
“You will regret this. All the Buddhists in Siam will rise against your cruel rule here because of your offensive actions today,”
Pamom, no longer maintaining his composure, being escorted by the Genetic Warriors, could only rage impotently at Su Jie.
As the monks were taken down, the bystanders immediately became angry, starting to shout loudly.
“How dare you newcomers disrespect the Monk King like this, release the Monk King immediately.”
“Monk King, I am coming to rescue you.”
“Charge, the Monk King is being threatened by the Jieke Group, these thugs; rescue the Monk King!”
The bystanders were shouting, and just as they were about to step forward, the rumbling sound of engines came from afar.
Following the tracks rolling over the streets, armored vehicles and tanks appeared in sight. Fully armed soldiers jumped out from the armored carriers and rushed over here.
Subsequently, more than ten Spider Mech also appeared in the streets. The presence of these giant war machines splashed a cold bucket of water over the heated atmosphere, instantly calming it down.
Because of the recent occupation, the Jieke Group still had troops stationed in Manchester. These troops had all received orders to come over and provide support.
Seeing these soldiers and war machines appear, Pamom and the other monks began to sweat profusely, realizing the seriousness of the situation; these rogues appeared unreasonable!
“Commander Su,”
Hao Guang emerged from a Spider Mecha, quickly jumped down, and came up to Su Jie.
“Walk with me, let’s see what these shaven heads are really about.”
Su Jie gestured and stepped into an armored command vehicle along with Liu Yingying.
The other monks were also forced onto military vehicles. Baiya led the way at the front; the troops turned around and left swiftly and efficiently.
After the troops had left, the bystanders who had been stunned finally came to their senses.
Many people were in disarray, and some took out their smartphones to post about the incident online.
Quickly, this incident stirred a huge uproar on the Siamese internet, more severe than the incident where Pupeng was beheaded.
Because although a King can often be replaced, the position of Buddhism in the hearts of Siamese people is far greater than that of a king.
Learning of Jieke Group’s reckless act, many devout Buddhist followers began to take spontaneous action, aiming to rescue their supremely revered Monk King.
……..
An hour later!
Su Jie looked toward the cluster of Buddhist buildings that had appeared ahead; it was Moran Temple, where the Monk King Pamom resided, the largest cluster of Buddhist buildings in all of Siam.
From afar, one could see the grandeur and magnificence of the temple architecture, gleaming with gold.
“Mr. Su, this is the Buddhist temple where Monk King Pamom resides.”
Baiya hurried to Su Jie’s side, cautiously reporting.
“Bring down those monks; let’s admire this temple. I’ve heard that Siam is the country of a thousand Buddhas. I haven’t properly visited any temple since I’ve been here; let’s start with this one.”
Su Jie raised an eyebrow and began walking towards the temple.
“I’m afraid this place might not be very fun for us.”
Liu Yingying commented apprehensively as she looked at the terrified and enraged monks being led away, walking beside Su Jie.
“No, there are many interesting things here.”
With a sweep of his Divine Sense, Su Jie discovered quite a few things within the temple.
As they spoke, Su Jie had reached the majestic entrance of the Moran Temple. A few young novice monks were initially greeting the devotees coming to offer incense but quickly ran inside to report the situation upon seeing a large group of soldiers stopping in front of the door.
When Su Jie walked up the steps and just crossed the threshold, a group of monks also came out to face them.
“This is a Buddhist Holy Land, please refrain from entering with weapons; otherwise, the Buddha will blame us…Ah, brother, how could you…”
The leading monk was speaking when he suddenly saw Pamom being brought in, completely stunned, and so were the monks behind him, their eyes wide as they saw their respected Monk King being escorted like a prisoner.
“Buddhist Holy Land, I doubt that, search the place,” commanded Su Jie as he gestured grandly.
A soldier instantly entered in single file, forcibly entering the temple.
Some monks tried to resist, but they were no match for the soldiers who pushed them aside. The Genetic Warriors, grabbing a monk with each arm, threw them to the sides, causing them to yelp in pain.
Seeing this, the remaining monks immediately stopped in their tracks, daring not to obstruct any further.
“Amitabha, what you are doing is utterly sinful, and both the Buddha and devotees worldwide can see it, you…”
Pamom trembled with rage, looking at the soldiers ransacking the temple, veins throbbing on his forehead as he lost his calm and started yelling fiercely.
“Enough with the nonsense. With the temple so splendidly golden, I want to know if it’s as good inside as it appears to be on the outside, worthy of the Siamese people’s devotion.”
While speaking, Su Jie started touring the temple complex under Baiya’s lead.
The interior of the temple complex was equally majestic, with the exterior painted golden, dazzling everywhere. The interior was decorated luxuriously with lifelike dragon and phoenix reliefs, and the whole temple was filled with golden Buddha statues, overwhelming to the eye.
“Commander Su, we have found a secret room,” reported a soldier from the Jieke Group briskly, leaning over to whisper to Su Jie.
“Let’s go take a look,” said Su Jie, ending his tour and leading Pamom and a group of people to a side temple in the back courtyard.
As they approached, Pamom and the senior monks began to sweat profusely and drag their feet.
Pamom couldn’t hold back any longer and roared, “Stop right there! You dare to trespass everywhere, the area ahead is the quiet temple, only sincere devotees may enter. Leave immediately, or the Buddha will curse you with death and misfortune.”
“The more you say that, the more I want to see what’s inside,” Su Jie said with a faint smile, as the Genetic Warriors directly grabbed the hesitating monks and forced them into the temple.
Upon entering the side hall, the initial sight was a Buddha statue with a secret mechanism underneath, which soldiers had already blown open with explosives, revealing stairs leading downward.
“A mechanical secret passage? Is it worth such caution, perhaps it contains your Buddhism’s true scriptures?” Su Jie mocked as several soldiers cleared the debris at the entrance, then the group descended the stairway.
The space at the bottom of the stairs was enormous, with modern lights decorating both sides. Going further down, what appeared before Su Jie and the others was a series of large cells.
In these cells, some women, completely naked, were curled up in the corners. Hearing the commotion, they reacted defensively, clutching their knees and curling into tight balls, fear evident on their faces.
“Ah!”
Liu Yingying was incredulous at the sight.
In the cells, some women had bruises, burns, and signs of beatings among various injuries; many wore dazed expressions as if driven mad, clearly having undergone indescribable torment.
“These women… Goodness, and you dare call yourselves highly virtuous monks while committing such acts in secret. To call this a Buddhist Holy Land? It’s clearly just a den for hiding filth.”
Liu Yingying was genuinely furious. As a woman, she could empathize deeply with the feelings of those imprisoned women, the torment of never seeing daylight again, the sheer despair.
“You bald monks play too lustfully! The ground above is the Buddhist Holy Land filled with the devout’s offerings, and below it is the Demon Cave for your enjoyment. What can I say, you truly open our eyes,” Su Jie said, his gaze cold as he looked at Pamom.
Faced with Su Jie’s icy stare, Pamom and the other high monks, previously clamoring that Su Jie would regret his actions, all wore ashen expressions.
In Siam Buddhism, marriage is not forbidden, but for these high-ranking monks, ordinary pleasures of love were obviously no longer enough to satisfy their desires for thrill.
Yet, given their status, engaging in more thrilling activities could easily expose them and damage their reputations.
Thus, they had constructed this underground detention chamber specifically to satisfy their perverse desires.
And now, Su Jie had brutally exposed this truth for all to see.
