After the dance, Ken excused himself.
He reluctantly led me to a corner. “There will be a lot of celebrities at the dance,” he said. “Wait here. Don’t go anywhere.”
I said yes, but I thought that since I was not a kid and that I was not his real girlfriend, I would not let him control me.
