Just as Singer was not a true star in the music industry and physicists were not genuine experts, the Third Elder was considered an academic failure who had been expelled from the International Physics Association.

A former professor at the Royal Academy of Continent O, his groundbreaking research in physics was worthy of a Nobel Prize. Many high-tech tools within the Utopia organization were his inventions, including “gold thread,” made from special nano-grade materials that boasted exceptional sharpness, toughness, and load-bearing capacity.

However, many of his experiments clashed with ethical standards and were abhorred by the scientific community. Most scientists believe that research should benefit humanity; harming lives in the name of science is seen as misguided.

In China, there is a saying: “When you hear the Dao in the morning, you can die in the evening.” This reflects his willingness to sacrifice himself for the pursuit of truth, even at the cost of his life. However, this sacrifice was solely for himself–he had no right to demand that others make the same sacrifice.

The Third Elder was willing to sacrifice everything for the scientific truths he sought to verify, including his own life and the lives of others. This made him a research fanatic.

At that moment, the Third Elder, clad in a white coat, leaned over the unconscious girl on the bed, gazing at her as if she were a project nearing completion. A fanatical light shone in his old, murky eyes.

He smiled wretchedly. “It doesn’t matter. Soon, we can help her with that remaining 1%. Didn’t the Chemist develop a new drug that can forcibly enhance a person’s mental strength?”

Everyone turned to the Fourth Elder, the Chemist.

The Chemist was a true professional, a professor in the chemistry department of a prestigious university in Country M. He had authored several books and often sponsored underprivileged students, earning a reputation as a noble philanthropist.

His wife, also a chemist, had tragically died in an experimental accident many years ago. Now in his fifties and childless, he had never remarried, remaining devoted to her memory.

Together, they had been a respected couple in the chemistry community. However, the Chemist found himself aligned with individuals despised by society, united by a common goal: to revisit the past, alter established history, resurrect the dead, reverse their defeats, and reshape the world according to their desires.

Upon hearing the Third Elder’s words, the Chemist frowned. “I’ve developed a new drug to increase mental strength, but it’s not fully studied yet. I’m unsure of the side effects and fear it may not be wise to use it recklessly.”

Tenth Elder Hunter, clutching his sniper rifle, interjected coldly, “How severe can the side effects be? Will she die before she can withstand the light cone experiment?”

The Chemist hesitated. “It won’t be life-threatening, but it could impact her brain. After a lab monkey used it, its mental strength increased, but it suffered severe brain damage and became significantly impaired.”

“Can the data from lab monkeys be applied to humans? I told you to use my ‘experiment monkeys,’ but you insisted otherwise.”

The Physicist shook his head, expressing particular disdain for chemists.

“It’s just dementia. Let’s move forward. Everything is set for the light cone experiment; it will definitely succeed. She’s worthless.”

The Chemist glanced at the girl lying on the bed, resembling a fairytale princess, and thought of his late wife, who had endured a difficult life. “But she’s still so young and beautiful. I heard she’s a genius. Her life has just begun…”
