That was a yes.

Ailuner smiled upon hearing this and, holding Xiao Aili, bowed towards Gu Shengyin: “My apologies, Her Majesty the Queen, I truly like Xiao Aili.”

“May I become her Guardian, teach her, and cherish her, until she comes of age?”

Although Gu Shengyin did not know why Ailuner had suddenly taken such an interest in the Little Elf, she felt relieved to see someone receive Aili.

She smiled and said, “As long as both parties are willing, the Goddess of Nature will bless you.”

And with that, the matter was settled.

Many Elves looked at Ailuner with envy–Ailuner had only just come of age! To be able to raise a Little Elf already, when would they get cute little babies to like them?

Aili was arranged to live inside Ailuner’s Treehouse–ever since Ailuner came of age, he had moved out of the Queen’s palace.

Gu Shengyin had thought that with a Little Elf, Ailuner would not stick to her as much anymore, but to her surprise, that very evening, Ailuner came to her palace.

Seeing that Ailuner seemed to have something on his mind, Gu Shengyin sent the Maids away and asked with concern, “Ailuner, what’s the matter?”
