Chapter 493: Chapter 493 Noble Elf Queen VS “Protagonist’s Aura” Girl (Part 17) Chapter 493: Chapter 493 Noble Elf Queen VS “Protagonist’s Aura” Girl (Part 17) When Xi Lili was six years old, Gu Shengyin finally noticed a hint of something amiss.
Xi Lili, the girl, had quite a fortunate life. Born into a wealthy family in a small town, she was doted on by her parents and had no siblings to compete with for affection.
This also led to her mischievous nature.
One day, she sneakily slipped away from the maid responsible for looking after her and secretly ran into the long-abandoned house of her old family home.
“Creak~” The long-neglected door was pried open, and a small figure tiptoed into the old house that nobody had entered for a long time.
The thick dust, the miscellaneous items strewn about, were distasteful and avoided by most people; but for Xi Lili at this moment, it was like stumbling upon a treasure trove.
She found a rusty sword with a broken blade, an ancient-patterned bronze mirror, and a few other odd and ends.
“Huh?” A bottle in the corner piqued her interest.
She struggled to move the obstacles around it, crawled inside, and took out the bottle.
It was a very strange colored glaze bottle–although the body was transparent, the interior was a dark, mysterious black substance that looked like gas.
If Xi Lili had not been a six-year-old girl but an adult, she would have been very cautious about such an object, at the very least not recklessly opening it.
But Xi Lili was not, she simply found the bottle interesting and without hesitation, she smashed it onto the ground.
It didn’t break.
Now her interest was even more piqued. The little girl took out the broken sword she had just collected and chopped at the glass bottle–still no damage.
She tried many methods–throwing, knocking, hitting–but none worked; the bottle remained intact.
Xi Lili pouted her mouth, ready to burst into tears.
Frustrated, she sat down on the ground with a plop, but accidentally touched the broken sword with her hand. A blood bead slid down her finger, dripping onto the body of the bottle.
All of a sudden, the injured Xi Lili started to cry loudly; she forgot about the bottle and the broken sword and ran out crying.
Nobody knew that the blood she dripped on the bottle slowly permeated into it, and then the bottle that Xi Lili couldn’t open no matter what, simply shattered.
A stream of black mist drifted out of the bottle, condensed into the shape of a human face in mid-air, as if judging something, and then chased after Xi Lili as she fled.
It quickly caught up with Xi Lili and entered her body.
The running Xi Lili suddenly stopped. Her face contorted briefly, her eyes turned pitch black in an instant, and her childish face displayed a strange, eerie smile.
Afterwards, everything seemed to return to normal.
“Miss, where did you go?” The panicked maid, seeing Xi Lili, breathed a sigh of relief.
“I just saw a little kitty, it went over there.” Xi Lili casually pointed in a direction.
Her finger, which had been clearly wounded by the broken sword just before, now bore no trace of injury.
The maid had no interest in any kitty; she bent down, picked up Xi Lili, and walked towards home, “Madam is waiting for Miss to come back so we can have dinner together.”
She did not see the strange smile on the face of the Xi Lili in her arms.
