Chapter 23: Wait at Home For Me Obediently

His sudden approach stunned Gu Xiang. He was a man. She was a woman. They had differences in physique.

The moment he approached her, she lost her dominance.

Although Gu Xiang felt rather fearful, she rmaintained an extremely calm demeanor.

She pushed away Jiang Chi’s hand gently with her thin wrist and said, “Sorry, I don’t like you either. Mr. Jiang, you are not my cup of tea.”

Her voice was very soft and her tone was extremely arrogant. Jiang Chi could tell that she was agitating him on purpose!

He answered, “What a pity. Ms. Gu, you are already married to me! Even if you don’t like me, you don’t have a choice.”

She might have forgotten that they were a lawfully wedded couple!

“What can we do? I am really not interested in an inexperienced old man like you. But, if you are willing to beg me…” She looked down. Her lip curled up to form a wicked smile. “Maybe I can consider teaching you?”

Jiang Chi had always been arrogant. Beg her? And let her teach him? How was that possible?

Gu Xiang’s word had slightly provoked him. Furious, he lowered his head… and kissed her.

Gu Xiang had provoked him thinking that Jiang Chi’s ego would stop him from laying a finger on her.

After the kiss, he raised his head and wiped his lip with his hand. Looking at Gu Xiang with disdain, he said, “Ms. Gu, your skill is average at best.”

Jiang Chi had already started ignoring her. He simply went back to put on his clothes. He had surgeries to do today. If they were to continue, he would have to delay proper business.

Sitting to one side, Gu Xiang watched him put on his clothes and fasten his tie. He looked like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

He fastened his last button with long and slender fingers before saying to Gu Xiang, “You can sleep more. The part-time helper will come over and prepare breakfast for you. Wait at home for me obediently. Don’t go anywhere else.”

She was sick. He did not wish to see her hustling outside. He just wanted her to stay at home.

Gu Xiang was still indignant. However, when she heard what he had said, she was dazed. “Okay.”

After Jiang Chi left, Gu Xiang lay on the bed while hugging the pillow. This was his bed and it was very comfortable to sleep in. Laying on the bed, she recalled what he had said. Wait at home for me obediently…

“Madam, the breakfast is ready. Would you like to eat now or later?” When the part-time helper entered the room, Gu Xiang was still lying on the bed.

Upon hearing her voice, Gu Xiang sat up. “I will eat now.”

She climbed out of bed and freshened herself up in the bathroom. There were extra products for washing up in the house that she used last night.

When she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw the helper tidying the bed that she had messed up. As Jiang Chi and her had almost gotten into a fight, the bed was in a disastrous state.

While tidying up the bed, the helper could not help but secretly exclaim, “These young people are really bursting with vigor.”

Gu Xiang sat at the dining table. She was peeling an egg when her phone rang. She took a look and noticed that her mother was calling her.

She accepted the call. “Yes?”

Concerned, her mother asked, “How are you and Jiang Chi.”

“Fine.”
