Chapter 36: Conversation at the Seaside

Today, Anita’s long hair was not draped over her shoulders. Instead, it was held up by a hair clip. There were some loose strands of hair on both sides of her cheeks, and she looked especially languid and relaxed in this attire.
Owen’s eyes were drawn to Anita. She seemed to always surprise him in a different way.

“Let’s go,” Anita said while glancing at Owen.

Owen nodded. “Yeah, I understand. This whole thing is really too sudden.”

“Well, that’s good. I have nothing else to say,” Anita said.

“Well, you know everything about my parents, so I won’t tell you anymore. They all like you a lot. You don’t have to worry about your post marital life,” Owen said.

“Yes, I know. They’re all very good people, and I like them very much.” Anita couldn’t help but speak a little louder when she heard Owen mention their parents.

The two of them chatted along the way and arrived at the villa.

Hearing Anita address her so politely, Silvia smiled and said, “Anita, you should call me Mommy. Don’t be so polite.”

This unexpected remark made Anita blush. Owen hadn’t expected his mother to mention this so suddenly, and he looked anxious to help Anita out. “Mom, this is so sudden.”
