‘I like coffee that has a bittersweet taste, but I like you even more…’

Sigh… Song Cheng was somehow relieved, and a strange emotion welled up in his heart. It was a really nice feeling.

When Han Guoguo received the call from the chairman, she was still in tears as if she had been greatly wronged.

Once she heard the chairman ask her to make two cups of coffee and send them over as soon as possible, she took out a tissue paper to wipe the tears on her face and quickly went on her way.

In the pantry on the 38th floor, Han Guoguo finally managed to bring out the coffee she had made, and she walked toward the chairman’s office.

Su Kui flipped through a financial magazine while she tapped her red lips with her index finger. Her eyes were amorous.

It was almost time…

She closed the magazine and pretended to look at the time. “I’m getting bored. I’ll go and see if the coffee is ready. Honestly, your assistant’s work efficiency is really poor!” she told Song Cheng.

“Yes.” Song Cheng raised his thick and dark eyebrows. He agreed with her words a little. “Don’t wander around, I’ll take you out to dinner later.”

Su Kui waved her hand and did not look back. “I’ll be fine.”

She was such an ungrateful girl!

Yet, her brilliant smile dazzled his eyes, giving him a strange feeling. Something was already rooted in his heart.

As time passed, a beautiful thing would grow from it.

Song Cheng was playing with his sign pen unconsciously while mulling over certain things. That was an old habit of his. Whenever he did some thinking, he always felt the need to grab something and play with it in his hands.

A sudden cry of pain pierced his ears.

“Ouch! It hurts…”

Song Cheng was shocked, but his body took the lead toward the door before his brain could issue a command.

For the first time, he realized that his heart could beat so fast. Although he had great confidence in Song Financial Group’s security system, he could not help but worry about her.

A few steps away, there was a mess on the floor. Su Kui’s chiffon dress was covered in brown coffee liquid, which was still burning hot. The liquid was dripping from the bottom of her skirt and hitting her feet.

Han Guoguo stared at the scene with eyes as big as that of Bambi, the deer. She was a little frightened while she mumbled, “I’m… I’m sorry. I didn’t do it on purpose…”

Su Kui was unable to talk due to the pain in her skin. Most of the contents in the two cups of freshly made hot coffee had spilled onto her clothes.

Upon hearing Han Guoguo’s apology, Su Kui had a sudden urge to tell her, ‘Why do we need the police if an apology is useful?’

But she kept those words to herself.

While Han Guoguo inspected Su Kui, Su Kui checked her out as well.

Her black hair was neatly tied into a ponytail, and she had bangs. Han Guoguo had a pair of big eyes as well as eye bags. Plus, her skin was pretty fair, and her figure was petite.

Both her eyes were a little red, though. Had she been crying?

Han Guoguo scrutinized Su Kui silently. At last, she had to dishearteningly admit that this woman was better than her in every way.

The woman’s eyes were charming. Even though she was covered in coffee, she still looked serene and elegant. Was this not the same woman in the boss’ arms, whom she stole a few peeks of earlier?

God was really unfair to give her magnificent beauty and a great boyfriend.

She, on the other hand, could only make coffee and endure the scolding of her boss in a humble manner. Despite her official position as a secretary’s assistant, her main job was to just run errands.

When she thought about it, she felt angry and annoyed, though she did not even know whom she was annoyed with.
