Chapter 1231: Chapter 922, Yuli is Coming Over

Shanaela slipped off her robe, her long, smooth legs stepping into the bathtub as she leaned into his embrace.

Wu Heng reached out to hold her waist, his chin gently resting on her shoulder, “You’ve worked hard.”

“What else can we do? You’re a hero now, with more important things to attend to.” Shanaela leaned against him, her tone slightly lazy.

Thinking back now, Shanaela still found it a bit unbelievable.

Shanaela placed a board over the bathtub, set the tablet on the wooden table, shook the water drops off her fingers, and said, “The first floor is the game area. The gaming consoles you brought and the island’s popular card games are here.”

Her fingers tapped lightly, and the screen flipped pages, “The second floor is for spa and massages, the third floor is Money Cat, the fourth floor is a restaurant, and the sixth floor is VIP guest rooms….”

The entire building’s design blueprint was completed by the island’s designer and a Skeleton who had studied modern design.

Thus, elements of modern layout can be seen in the design.

For instance, in the game area, there’s a water bar, spa, massages, and even scrubbing all included.

Who cares if it’s popular or not, let’s try it out first.

Wu Heng continued to ask, “Have the staff been arranged?”

“Some Wood Elf people were used, and the rest were recruited from the island. Even just these personnel are a considerable expense.” Shanaela swatted away his mischievous hand, “Slyther hasn’t sent anyone over yet, remember to ask.”

Slyther was responsible for Money Cat, and last time when leaving, he said he would arrange for people to come over to manage it, but it seems there hasn’t been any movement for quite some time.

“I’ll ask tomorrow.” Wu Heng nodded, then asked, “How about over at Retili’s side?”

“In two or three days, ships from various consortiums will dock. I’ve already talked with Wei’er, and she will coordinate the port work then.” Shanaela used her legs to clamp down on his mischievous hand, “That’s enough, what if the tablet falls into the water!”

“Since you’ve finished looking at the layout map, just put it away for now.” Wu Heng said.

Shanaela gave him a sideways glance but still put the tablet into the Space Ring, her tone complaining, “You have so much energy every day.”

Wu Heng lifted her up, aligning her to the right position, then gently set her down.

“Phew~!” Shanaela exhaled a breath of relief.

Water splashed in the bathtub.

As the two playfully bickered their way out of the bathroom.

They returned to the bedroom to rest.

The next day, early morning.

In the bathroom, Shanaela sat on a wooden stool, as Wu Heng manipulated a water ball to wrap her hair, washing it within the water ball, “The old doctor said washing your hair in the morning is bad for your health.”

“Who is this old doctor?” Shanaela asked.

“It’s a term for someone very respected in the medical field.” Wu Heng finished her hair, waved his hand, and the water flew away.

Shanaela touched her hair, not a drop of water on it, and was a bit amazed, “This skill is quite useful, having a Mage as a partner isn’t bad at all.”

“No ordinary Mage could do that.” Wu Heng said confidently.

Shanaela stood up, kissed him on the cheek, “Alright, I know, you’re a hero, the best.”

They headed downstairs, where the maids had already prepared breakfast.

After eating together, Shanaela continued to the entertainment center to finish the final touches, while Wu Heng went upstairs to the radio room.

He checked the messages on each radio station one by one.

Sitting down in front of the Black Stone Town Slyther’s radio.

Ever since phones were distributed, the utility of radios had sharply decreased; anything needing to be addressed was directly done by phone calls.

Also, perhaps because there were fewer users or for some other reason, satellite phone communication worked very well in this world.

He remembered forgetting to send Slyther a phone.

Slyther said, “Preparing breakfast for Yuli and Kuro.”

Kuro was the Cheetah’s name; when at Black Stone Town, Wu Heng called it Mimi.

“How have you been lately? It’s been a while since we’ve contacted, don’t you miss me?” Wu Heng was the first to speak forcefully.

Slyther’s tone was serious, “Don’t talk nonsense, what if Yuli hears you.”

“If she were nearby, she’d be eager to speak up, I know how it goes.” Wu Heng laughed.

“Still, be careful.” Slyther said, then asked, “How are things going with the Holy Court? Black Stone Town is so remote, it’s hard to hear news from your side.”

In his tone, you could still hear concern.

“It’s fine, the Holy Court has appointed a new Pope, and headquarters is mediating our conflicts, so there won’t be any issues in the short term.” Wu Heng gave a general response.

“No issues in the short term?” Slyther caught the underlying concern in his words.
