With an unwavering, cold voice, Ji Mingyu instructed, “You have three days to carve a teleportation array from the Heavenly Medical Valley to the palace. The core of the array must be placed inside Xi’s room!”

Zhu Que stared in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief. After a long pause, he nervously stammered, “Master, completing the engraving of the teleportation array in three days is nearly impossible. Not to mention, it has to be placed in Miss Xi’s bedroom…”

Xi Yue sat up from the bed, still half-dazed, her mind lingering on why she had slept so deeply the night before.

Suddenly she felt a sting on her lips.

Her mind snapped awake as she gently touched her lips with one hand, the events of the previous night replaying in her mind.

The man had appeared suddenly, his kiss forceful and passionate. His grip was domineering, holding her captive, yet his touch was gentle in the end. In his embrace, she felt a sense of comfort and reassurance.

But the man had come so suddenly and disappeared just as abruptly. What was it that he wanted to say?

Xi Yue felt a wave of dizziness pass over her. She cast a healing spell on her lips before getting up to answer the door.

Passing by the mirror, Xi Yue suddenly stopped in her tracks.

She looked at her reflection in disbelief. On the delicate, fair skin of her left side, just beneath the neckline, was a clear, unmistakable hickey–almost as if it were loudly declaring ownership.

Then, deep within her mind, Xi Yue felt the imprint left behind, accompanied by the man’s cold, domineering declaration. “You can only belong to me, Xi. Wait for my return!”

Xi Yue was so enraged that she nearly fell backward, her delicate face flushed red.
