Standing outside the door, Anling Yao looked pale, like he had just recovered from a serious illness. His expression was one of shock and confusion, frozen in place.

The young man before her had red lips and white teeth, with a flush spreading across his cheeks. His already handsome face seemed to glow with a vibrant hue. Though his expression was filled with anger, it wasn’t frightening; instead, it stirred something deep within, making the heart race.

Anling Yao stared at Xi Yue blankly, as if he didn’t realize until this moment that his savior was even more beautiful than Yan who was sent to Moon Embracing Palace to be a saint.

Xi Yue cleared her throat, pushing aside the frustration and anger sparked by Ji Mingyu. She regained her usual calm and asked, “Is there something you need?”

“Oh, right! Something happened!” Anling Yao suddenly came back to his senses and said with a smile, “The clinic just sent word saying someone is looking for you.”

Xi Yue asked in surprise, “Who’ll that be?”

“Heavenly Medical Valley?” Xi Yue furrowed her brows, wondering to herself. Could it be Doctor Wen? But I told him I would report to the outer sect of the Heavenly Medical Valley myself.

But when she thought of Sumeru Clinic, she thought of Weizhi who she left behind there.

She had originally promised Weizhi she would return within three days, but now more than three days had passed. If she didn’t go back soon, she was certain that he’d lose his temper.

With that thought, Xi Yue pushed down the emotions that had been stirred up in the Spirit Refining Domain. She calmly instructed, “Got it. Let’s head back to the Sumeru Clinic right away.”

At an inn in Skyrise City, Chen Xiao walked in, his shoulders slumped in defeat. Meeting the eager gazes of everyone, he sighed in frustration. “I spoke to the servants at the Sumeru Clinic,” he said, shaking his head. “They told me Xi Yue still hasn’t returned, and they won’t let me in.”

Qian Dazhuang slammed his hand onto the table, his face turning red with anger. “Is that damn kid in red stopping you again?” he roared. “I knew it! That brat must have locked Xi Yue up. I swear, I’ll beat the life out of that arrogant little punk!”

Zhang Yi frowned and said, “But what should we do? We’ve already missed several lessons at the Heavenly Medical Valley, especially with Jin. This afternoon, there’s Dr. Mei’s class. If we don’t show up, that annoying old man will dock Jin’s credits. If that happens, it’ll be even harder for him to enter the inner sect!”

Jin Zeyu’s expression remained calm. “As long as I can see Xi Yue, whether or not I enter the inner sect doesn’t matter.”

“No way!” Qian Dazhuang shot up from his seat, his voice filled with anger. “Today, I’m getting into that clinic, no matter what.”

Chen Xiao nodded and said, “I’ve heard that Xi Yue always leaves behind medical records after her consultations. Even if we can’t see her, we can check the records to confirm if that’s indeed her soul.”

“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go to Sumeru Clinic now!”

Qian Dazhuang shouted, and the group rushed towards Sumeru Clinic.
