So, Gu Hengniang decided to seek out her younger brother instead.

“Where’s Gu Ya? Where’s my younger brother? Younger brother, younger brother, your elder sister is here,” Gu Hengniang no longer talked to Su Yunjin. Instead, she tried to enter the house to find Gu Ya.

Su Yunjin blocked Gu Hengniang, preventing her from entering.

“Elder Sister, there’s no need to shout; my husband is not at home.” The Zuixiang Restaurant was going to open tomorrow, and there were still some matters that needed Gu Ya’s attention.

Gu Ya had left for town early in the morning, and if it hadn’t been for Gu Ya directing her not to follow him, Su Yunjin would also have been in town by now. Gu Hengniang never believed a word Su Yunjin said.

When Su Yunjin stated that Gu Ya wasn’t at home, Gu Hengniang thought Su Yunjin was deceiving her. “Sister-in-law, step aside; I need to find my younger brother. If you won’t lend me the money, my younger brother surely will.” Gu Hengniang didn’t even care that Su Yunjin was pregnant and reached out to push her aside to get past her.

Su Yunjin stepped to the side to avoid Gu Hengniang’s touch, and while Su Yunjin dodged, Gu Hengniang pushed open the door to their house and went inside.

Gu Hengniang didn’t consider herself an outsider at all, assuming the role of a homeowner as she entered and shouted loudly, “Younger brother, younger brother, younger brother, come out!”

Su Yunjin followed Gu Hengniang into the house. After calling out in the courtyard of Su Yunjin’s home without hearing a response from Gu Ya, Gu Hengniang tried to go inside to look for him.

None of the doors to the rooms in Su Yunjin’s house was locked. Gu Hengniang headed first to the room where Su Yunjin and Gu Ya slept, and she was about to push the door open when Su Yunjin rushed over.

“Elder Sister, stop right there. If you dare to enter without my permission, do you believe I will take you to the Governor’s Office and file a complaint against you?” Su Yunjin stood in front of Gu Hengniang, preventing her from entering the room.

Gu Hengniang gave Su Yunjin a mocking look, “File a complaint against me? Sister-in-law, don’t make me laugh. This is my younger brother’s room. I’m his elder sister; if I want to enter, I will enter. Can you really stop me?”

Gu Hengniang made a motion to push the door open.

Su Yunjin quickly grabbed Gu Hengniang’s wrist and pressed her thumb against one of Gu Hengniang’s acupressure points. Gu Hengniang tried to push Su Yunjin away instinctively.

To her surprise, she discovered that she couldn’t muster any strength in her hand.

Su Yunjin had firmly seized Gu Hengniang’s numb spot, applying force until Gu Hengniang’s whole body lacked strength. Facing Su Yunjin, Gu Hengniang began to curse loudly.

“Su Yunjin, you witch, what sorcery have you used on me? Why can’t I exert any strength now?” Gu Hengniang didn’t know that Su Yunjin knew medical techniques, nor did she realize that Su Yunjin had taken advantage of the situation to press her acupressure point. Being rendered powerless by Su Yunjin’s pinch, Gu Hengniang thought that Su Yunjin knew some kind of magic, which was why she had bewitched her younger brother, Gu Ya.

Su Yunjin smirked coldly as she applied more pressure to Gu Hengniang’s numb spot with her thumb, “Elder Sister, I am the master of this house, and it’s for me to decide about this room. If you dare to barge in without my permission, you become a thief, a burglar. I could report you to the authorities and have you thrown into jail at the Governor’s Office.”

Su Yunjin spoke sharply and forcefully, inadvertently making Gu Hengniang feel a tinge of guilt.

“Pah! Who cares? I don’t want to go in anyway. Let go, I’m going to find my younger brother.” Gu Hengniang now decided not to proceed to the bedroom where Su Yunjin and Gu Ya slept.

Originally, Gu Hengniang had intended to take some advantage while inside.

So, she abandoned the thought of going inside.

Su Yunjin watched Gu Hengniang coldly, thinking that if it weren’t for her being pregnant, she would have thrown Gu Hengniang out already. Why would she allow her to come in and create trouble?
