Chapter 38 Retorting the Secretary

“Hello, Mr. Duan. You can call me Mr. Q,” the man said with a smile. He wore black sunglasses and was dressed in black.

Duan Qun turned around and looked at the man. He realized that he had never seen him before.

Duan Qun was already in a very bad mood. He had just been slapped by An Ran and punched by Huo Qing. He was extremely frustrated. “Who the f*ck are you? How dare you poke your nose into my personal affairs! Try me and I’ll teach you a lesson!” Duan Qun started yelling at him.

Mr. Q waved his hand, and many bodyguards surrounded Duan Qun.

Duan Qun walked to Mr. Q’s side, and Mr. Q whispered something to Duan Qun. Duan Qun nodded, and Mr. Q left in a car.

In fact, Duan Qun did not really like An Ran. He just wanted to use the money of the An Corporate Group to fill the Duan Corporate Group’s deficit. Plus, he wanted to possess An Ran as she was quite good-looking and had a good figure. Duan Qun felt that it was An Ran’s honor for him to take an interest in her.

They were going back to their room together. On the way, Huo Qing met a business partner, so An Ran said that she would go back to the room first.

Just as An Ran reached the door, she saw Wu Min waiting for her.

Wu Min said to An Ran in a commanding tone, “Miss An, I’ve already booked your room. This is the key to the other room. You can move out of this room tonight.”

An Ran did not want to share a room with Huo Qing anyway, so moving out was not a big deal. However, An Ran felt strange as she supposed that Huo Qing would not have asked her to move out. Besides, Wu Min’s tone seemed to be very unfriendly. She wondered if she had offended her in any way.

“Secretary Wu, may I ask if this is President Huo’s arrangement?” An Ran asked.

“Hmph. Miss An, do you not want to move out? Don’t think that you can stick to President Huo just because you’ve stayed in the same room with him for one night. You’d better recognize your own status. Which man would want a woman like you who’s broken off an engagement?” Wu Min said arrogantly to An Ran as if she had gotten something on An Ran.

Wu Min had asked someone to keep Huo Qing away on purpose. As she had been Huo Qing’s secretary for five years, she had made many entrepreneurs come over to curry favor with Huo Qing and not let him go upstairs simply by spreading the news that Huo Qing had been staying in this hotel.

An Ran was shocked. Does Huo Qing’s secretary have so much power? How could she speak so rudely?

However, An Ran quickly calmed down. She sensed that Wu Min liked Huo Qing. Otherwise, she would not have targeted her like this.

“Who are you to say such things to me? It doesn’t seem to concern a secretary like you whether I’m wanted or not!”

An Ran was very angry at this moment. She had already had enough. Now that even a secretary was bossing her around, there was no need for her to be polite anymore.
