959 Rescue the Drug!
After Yao Tang had finished, she stood next to Dr. Liu with a smile on her face. “If you had pushed through with the process in accordance to the ratio you’ve provided, you would produce a toxic substance. Now that I’ve adjusted your ratio, you’ll receive the pill you were looking for.”

She had spoken with so much confidence that Dr. Liu initially thought she was an expert.

However, when he looked her up and down, his face contorted into a scowl. “You’re still in school. How do you even know what we’re developing? Do you know the correct ratio for this type of medication then?”

Dr. Liu knew that they were creating this pill through a joint operation between the Yang and the Meng Family. However, he didn’t know how such a young woman could know about this.

He glanced over at Meng Ling. Did she bring her in?

“If this is your friend, please make sure to reel her in. Do you know how much trouble she could’ve caused if she were to touch anything here? As the future successor of the Meng Family operations, you should know how important this is to your family,” he said sternly. “How could you do something so careless?”

Meng Ling bit her lips helplessly. She had wanted to correct them, say how much of a genius Yao Tang was. But as she couldn’t reveal her identity to the public, she could only protest in a different way.

“Dr. Liu, she really is very smart! I wouldn’t bring her in if she wasn’t!”

“But—”

“Look! It’s working!” Another scientist’s words attracted all of their attention. Immediately, they all turned to look at the screen only to see that everything was finally coming together! Their data was finally perfect! Even better than what they had first hypothesized!

How was this possible?

“How could this be?”

Doctor Liu went up and inspected the data.

However, after observing every single detail, he really couldn’t find anything wrong with it. “It actually worked.” He slowly turned at the young woman, who appeared as composed as ever.

“Who are you?”

Yao Tang simply smiled.

“My teacher is an extremely powerful doctor. I had learned all that I could from him, and one of the medication he had been working on is similar to the one you’re developing now.” It was an excuse they had both constructed together.

She then motioned to the screen. “I saw that your experiment was failing, so I thought I’d use his technique.”

Although it was fate that had brought her here, none of them were fools. They all knew what had happened. It’s obvious that she knew the formula like the back of her hand.

“You don’t have to be modest.” Dr. Liu waved his hand. “May I know your name?”

“Yao Tang,” she said lightly.

A few of the scientists in the laboratory had rushed over when they heard the news. They immediately went over to the other technicians and told them to go to the other side first. After that, they took Meng Ling to discuss the medication developments.

However, before they could pull her in, Meng Ling held onto Yao Tang’s arm. “Shouldn’t we bring my friend along with us? She’s the reason why this is a success. With her in the meeting, she may be able to give you some good advice.”

“I…” The people all shared a look, before hesitantly nodding.
Soon, Yao Tang was led into the office. Meng Ling, who had been usually loud and boisterous was now very quiet. She knew that there was nothing she could say at this time.”

“The success of the pills this time is a two-way success for the Yang family and the Meng Family, and I believe that we will be able to win the next medical competition with these pills.”

The others nodded in agreement.

The man quickly turned to Yao Tang. “Miss Yao Tang, the success of the pills is due to your assistance, but I hope we can keep your contribution a secret. Whatever you want, we’ll be happy to provide.”

Yao Tang could tell that he was trying to hide her contribution, but she understood it. After all, the two families had been working on this for months. Her joining would only cause more complications.
