Su Xia’s pupils constricted instantaneously. 

The staff members behind the camera, especially the females, all looked toward Lu Jingyao admiringly. Yin Na gave him a direct response. She took in a sharp intake of breath and banged her fists lightly against Cheng Zhengming’s arm. “Sobs, I am so envious of Jingyao’s future wife,” she exclaimed.

“Superficial,” she finished, slurring her words. 　

“Why? Do you not want a boyfriend like that?” Su Xia asked her.

While they were chatting, Chef Li, who was in the midst of cooking, suddenly spoke. “Su Xia prefers food that has a heavier taste. You like to eat spicy food, right?” he asked. 

He continued deftly slicing the vegetables while talking. The red chilies on the chopping board were a rather prominent sight.

So now she was allowed to eat spicy food, huh! 

“I am currently preparing to accept a role in a new drama, and I will soon be joining the film crew…” she said. 　

Chef Li understood immediately after hearing what she said. He sighed out in relief and poured the sliced chilies into a bowl, which he then put aside. “Thank God I did not put the chilies in. Hmm…you and Lu Jingyao seem to have similar preferences. That makes it easier for me as well,” he said. 

Su Xia stuck out her tongue in embarrassment. “Sorry for troubling you,” she said. 　

“It is alright. It is not a hassle at all,” he waved it off. 　

The topics of their conversation continued to center around Lu Jingyao and Su Xia. An hour soon passed by amid their chatter. The two chefs were almost done cooking. 

They both placed their respective dishes on the conveyor belt in front of them before the bell rang. The belt then slowly moved the dishes in front of the two guests.  　　

Each of the chefs had prepared three dishes. There were six dishes in total. The scrumptious, mouth-watering dishes were plated exquisitely. A tantalizing fragrance wafted under their noses. Su Xia could not help but gulp down on her saliva. 

The dishes prepared by both chefs were all considerably delicious. After Su Xia and Lu Jingyao had a discussion, they both decided on Chef Li as the final winner. 

Chef Li’s dishes were thus added and promoted on the restaurant’s menu.

The filming went on till the late evening.
