Chapter 54: Curiosity Led To Anger 2

“Young master, Miss Yang has cut her hands.” The servant hurried to explain. Ye Ming swept his harsh gaze over her and she turned silent immediately. Yang Yuxi stopped in front of her and took the broom from her, as she continued with the cleaning silently.

“Let me repeat this. She will clean the living room. Whoever dares to help her will leave.” Ye Ming pointed toward Yang Yuxi while he snarled and everyone turned silent. “By the way, after you clean the living room, remember to clean the study room upstairs as well. I don’t want to see any dirt.” Ye Ming left after giving his orders. Yang Yuxi nodded dully and she buried herself in the cleaning. No one tried to offer their help this time. They were well aware of Ye Ming’s overbearing and domineering temper. They did not dare to take the risk of angering him by helping an unrelated person.

“Do you think Miss Yang has offended Young master?”

“That goes without saying. If she didn’t offend Young master, he would not have targeted her. Miss Yang is too pitiful. I saw her crying just now.”

“She should not have offended Young master. But then I have never seen Young master being so mean to a woman. His behavior is strange. If he doesn’t like her, why doesn’t he send her away? Instead, he picked on her but kept her by his side. It is very odd.”

“Could it be that Young master likes Miss Yang?”

While Yang Yuxi was cleaning the living room, several servants stood from a distance whispering among themselves. They now saw Yang Yuxi in a different light given the special way that Ye Ming treated her. Although she was being picked on by Ye Ming, the servants did not make things difficult for Yang Yuxi, instead, they tried to make things convenient for her.

After cleaning the living room, Yang Yuxi was drenched in sweat. Seeing that the living room was done, she climbed to the study room that she went to previously on the third floor. Though it was in a mess, it was not as messy as the living room.

Yang Yuxi put aside the shattered porcelain pieces carefully into a plastic bag. As the floor in the study room was carpeted, the porcelain did not shatter into many pieces, and all the pieces were fairly big. There was the possibility of sticking them together, particularly the ashtray that was from a rare collection designed by Ye Tongsheng. It broke into five pieces and could be fairly easy to stick together. Although she did not know the price of broken antiques, given that the original ashtray was very expensive, the ashtray that was being pieced together must be able to fetch a significant price as well. Ye Ming did not care much for this, but she could put them aside and that could be her compensation for the humiliation that she had to suffer for being a servant.

She cleared up the shattered pieces in the study room in no time and used the vacuum cleaner to suck away all the debris. Yang Yuxi scanned the room carefully to make sure that every corner was cleaned so that Ye Ming had no chance to find fault with her. She checked the room for dirt multiple times before she got ready to leave the room. Right then, a drawing board that was covered with dossal caught her eye. She halted in her tracks. She had some recollection of the drawing board. She was able to escape from his clutches yesterday all because of the incomplete sketch on the drawing board. She was very curious about the incomplete sketch.

“Should I take a look?” An idea came to her and she could no longer suppress the impulse to satisfy her curiosity.
