Lin Shen felt curious, if that was indeed Vice Dean An, why did he fake his death, and why did he want to enter the Celestial Court?

Lin Shen stood outside the planet, his gaze piercing deep within, able to see even the tiny hairs on the legs of ants billions of miles away with impressive clarity.

The people within the planet could not see Lin Shen’s figure, simply because the distance was too great, and Lin Shen’s form was too small.

Vice Dean An clearly had no idea that someone was observing his every move at this moment, as he had already surveyed his surroundings without discovering any surveillance or monitoring devices.

Looking around cautiously, confirming the absence of others nearby, Vice Dean An took out an incense stick from his bosom, then lit it with a small flame from his fingertip before inserting it into the ground.

Lin Shen was puzzled, not knowing what he was doing there, as there were no Ghost Gods or memorial tablets for anyone. Why was Vice Dean An lighting incense there, especially since he used only one instead of the usual three?

After lighting the incense, Vice Dean An sat on a nearby rock, watching as the incense burned away slowly. He made no other movements until the incense had completely burned out.

As Lin Shen was pondering, he saw that the small stick, left after the incense had burned away, began to move.

Soon, that small stick sprang up from the ground, drawing an arc before landing on the earth again.

The ground where the incense had been inserted started trembling, the insertion point cracking open, and then a skeletal, bloodless hand stretched out from beneath, presenting an eerie and terrifying sight.

Finger-like hooks pressed against the ground, and with a strong push of the arm, the earth surged. A disheveled figure, skinny and gaunt like a famished ghost emerged, wearing tattered clothes barely covering his body.

“How many years long has it been… You finally returned…” The famished ghost-like figure, hunchbacked, appeared too tall and thin, resembling a bean sprout.

His hair hung messily over his face, obscuring his appearance, making it impossible to tell if he were old or young.

“Do you think I didn’t want to come back? If I could have returned, I certainly would have.” Vice Dean An said coldly.

“What’s this place?” The bean sprout-like creature said, surveying his surrounds.

Lin Shen was somewhat surprised, thinking the creature had been hiding there all along, only to realize he had no idea of his location.

“The Well Star in the Well Star System of the Star Constellation Star Domain.” Vice Dean An said.

The creature was suddenly taken aback: “What are you doing here?”

“Do you think I wanted to be here…” Vice Dean An had not finished speaking when the creature interrupted him.

“Alright, alright, no more words, you’re right, I can’t argue with you. Just tell me, how’s the task going, have we found the person?” The creature asked.

“After searching for so many years, there’s finally a clue.” Vice Dean An said.

“Found means found, not found means not found, what’s with this ‘there’s a clue’? I can’t understand your scholarly riddles, just tell me if they’ve been found or not.” The creature insisted.

Vice Dean An glanced around before finally saying: “Yes, they have been found.”

“How many have been found?” The creature immediately asked.

“Seven.” Vice Dean An replied.

“Seven?” The creature was first stunned, then immediately started cursing out loud: “Are you out of your damn mind? There were only six, how can there be seven? Did you give birth to one?”

Vice Dean An was unfazed, nonchalantly saying: “That’s why I mentioned there was a clue, couldn’t say for sure, but you insisted. What can I do? I’ve found seven people, all meeting the standards of a reincarnation body, I’ve used every method to differentiate them, yet by all measures, all seven qualify equally.”

“Impossible, there were only six Great Emperors, there can’t be seven people, you must have made a mistake, at least one of them isn’t the reincarnation.” The creature said.

“I also know one of them definitely isn’t the Great Emperor reborn, but I can’t tell which one, what can you suggest?” Vice Dean An said.

The creature suddenly remained silent, although they bickered whenever they met, the creature still acknowledged Vice Dean An’s operational competence.

With Vice Dean An’s inability to tell them apart, the creature very likely couldn’t either.

“What’s the situation, what are the identities of those seven people?” The creature thought before asking.

“What identities, would you even recognize them if I told you? Would their names mean anything?” Vice Dean An replied.

The creature thought it over and agreed, being in the Celestial Court, none of the names from the Ancient Realm mentioned by Vice Dean An would be recognizable.

“We can temporarily put aside the other three for you to judge in person, but the remaining four pose some intrigue.” Vice Dean An said after a pause.

“Intrigue? What kind of intrigue?” The creature didn’t quite understand Vice Dean An’s meaning.

“Could it be possible that four of them got reincarnated into one family?” Vice Dean An asked with an odd expression.

“Impossible… they would never do such a thing… it defies logic…” The creature widened its eyes at Vice Dean An: “Are you trying to tell me those remaining four were reincarnated in one household?”

“I agree it defies logic, but that family of four brothers all meet the conditions for being the Great Emperor’s reincarnation.” Vice Dean An sighed.

Lin Shen watched their conversation intently, unable to hear the words but able to gauge the conversation through air vibrations.

The content Vice Dean An mentioned had already shifted his expression significantly.

He kept feeling that the four brothers Vice Dean An spoke of seemed somehow related to his family.

“Could it be, the four brothers he mentioned are from our family? All members of our family are the Great Emperor’s reincarnation?” Lin Shen thought this didn’t sound plausible at all.

“What’s the background of that family and what’s the specific situation now?” The creature pondered before asking.

“That family originated from the Original Star humans.” Vice Dean An said.

“Original Star? Are you referring to the Ancestor Star? There are still people there?” The creature’s voice was full of disbelief.

“I initially thought there weren’t any, and didn’t consider searching there for years, but recent tens of thousands of people began appearing there, breaking through the blockade over the recent millennia, prompting me to take notice and ultimately find them.” Vice Dean An said.

“It’s impossible, the Ancestor Star shouldn’t have any survivors, they should have all perished…” The creature said resolutely.

“I’m aware it seems impossible, but the facts are right in front of us, there are indeed humans there, all purely human.” Vice Dean An said.

“Could it be possible that someone later brought seeds over?” The creature considered various possibilities.

“Given that the area is still under lockdown, who do you think could have managed that?” Vice Dean An replied.

“That makes it strange, clearly extinct, yet there are humans again…” The creature was momentarily stumped, then continued: “If they’re from the Ancestor Star, maybe four truly were reincarnated into one family. What’s the situation of that family now, where are they?”

“The surname is Lin, both parents are deceased, they had one daughter and four sons, besides the daughter who isn’t the Great Emperor’s reincarnation, the other four should be… As for the other three, you likely haven’t heard of their names either, with the youngest currently residing in the Celestial Court, you should’ve heard his name…”
