Chapter 42: Entering His Condominium – Part 6

After coming out, she looked around and found the bathroom. Running over swiftly, she opened the door to enter and lock it.

The very large bathroom was fitted in the same minimalistic and tasteful style.

Ji Anning turned around to lean against the washbasin, pressing the dress to her chest, she exhaled deeply.

She was such a failure. Each time, it felt immensely stressful to spend time alone with the fellow.

Ji Anning, can you not be less of a disappointment knowing that he hated her cowardice?

It was not like he was a cannibal!

After calming down the palpitations of her heart, Ji Anning turned to face the mirror and finally discovered the train wreck she looked like.

Worst still was not her image, but her… clothes.

Although the white t-shirt was no longer clinging tightly to her body because it was wet, it had become transparent, making the outlines of her red bra inside very prominent.

Upon scrutiny, even the blotchy blemishes left behind by that nightmare from before were visible.

Ji Anning’s heart went, “thud”, nervously.

Did Little Uncle notice them earlier?

“Achoo.”

The sudden sneeze made Ji Anning anxious, leaving her dumbfounded. At the realization, she sneezed continuously for a few more times.

Forget it. She did not want to think about it anymore. Instead, she ought to be thankful that she did not go back straight away and let her mother, grandfather, and aunt’s family see the state she was in.

Otherwise, she would have been done for.

As the fountain water was filthy, Ji Anning took a quick shower before donning the rose-red dress and stepping in front of the mirror to see herself.

The rose-red shade complemented her skin tone, making her even fairer while fitting her so well that it seemed custom made.

Even she felt as though she suddenly brightened up and looked completely different.

With her lips pursing upwards uncontrollably, she pinched the skirt with her hands slightly while gently beaming as she got lost in the excitement.

After recalling the situation she was in moments later, she hurriedly gathered her dirty clothing and left the bathroom with them.

When she opened the door, she caught sight of Ji Chicheng carrying a bowl over to the couch.

“Little Uncle, I’m done,” with her dirty clothes in hand, Ji Anning walked over to Ji Chicheng.

The look in her eyes, as well as her tone and even footsteps, all came off slightly timid.

Without daring to look straight at Ji Chicheng’s face, she lowered her head slightly. With her partially dry hair tumbling down from one side scattering at her chest freely, he was astonished by her indescribable languor and sexiness.

At the bottom of Ji Chicheng’s eyes was a glint of desire. For a split second, his possessiveness almost made him abandon his previous restraint.

Seeing that Ji Chicheng had not uttered a word after a long time, Ji Anning raised her head to look at him.

Was the bowl of stuff intended for her?

Ji Anning was surprised. Looking at the bowl filled with a dark-colored unappetizing soup, she frowned instinctively, “What’s that?”

“Indigowood root,” replied Ji Chicheng, who then looked at Ji Anning and said, “Old Master is asleep. Don’t sneeze after you go back.”

So he was worried if she caught a cold, all the sneezing would wake her grandfather up when she got home.

This father and son were so thoughtful to each other. Her grandfather doted on him while he was filial to him too.

Their father and son relationship was touching.

Ji Anning twitched her lips and walked over to the coffee table without saying a word. She bent over slightly to reach out and hold the bowl up with both hands. Placing it by her mouth, she first took a tiny sip to test its temperature. Upon determining it was suitable, she closed her eyes and finished it in a single gulp.
