Chapter 582: Chapter 597 Cultivation Soars, Half-Step Dharma Image
The Elemental Goddess was an immensely powerful being, even among the divinities of the Nature God System, she was considered a formidable spirit.
Therefore, Elder Liuling had not acted rashly.
Even though with Elder Liuling’s power, it would be easy to abduct the entire Elf Clan and make a grand descent here, even a divine Elemental Elf Queen would not be her match. She could suppress any revolt from the elemental elves with a flick of her hand, but due to the concern for the Elemental Goddess, she dared not make a forceful move.
Otherwise, once it drew the attention of the Elemental Goddess, the Beast Taming Sect truly had no one capable of withstanding the onslaught of this Eternal Realm deity!
As followers of the Elemental Goddess, the Elf Clan naturally had ways to contact her. Even the Elemental Well, the birthplace of the elemental elves, was likely a treasure personally delivered into this world by the Elemental Goddess herself, surely containing a strand of her divine power. Any forced action would definitely provoke the goddess’s senses.
This was also why for so long, Elder Liuling had allowed Luo Zhancheng to lead the Beastman Kingdom in his east and west conquests across the continent, rarely intervening.
According to the plan of the Beast Taming Sect, it was best to keep the war beneath the level of deities, so that even if the Elf Clan was annihilated, by the unspoken rules among the gods, the Elemental Goddess could hardly intervene directly.
As a being of the Eternal Realm, she probably wouldn’t focus much attention on a handful of elemental elves below unless she noticed something unusual. Practically speaking, she wouldn’t specifically send someone to investigate.
To such high beings, their sights were set far too distant. A bit of faith power from a medium world, how could it weigh on their hearts?
Qin Feng certainly didn’t consider moving the entire Elemental Well– a task even Elder Liuling had to strategize slowly; where would he dare to meddle recklessly?
However, having seen such a treasure, would it not be a pity to leave empty-handed?
To say nothing of others, the Elemental Water alone was a miraculous entity. It did not merely contain powerful and pure Primordial Qi but was also rich in vital force and the profound Creation Energy. Otherwise, a mere well could not create so many elemental elves!
Even if it was the thinnest strand of Creation Energy, it was a marvelous thing that, once refined, brought endless benefits to any lifeform.
Just like when Qin Feng obtained a strand of the Fire Origin and ultimately was able to create the Karma Fire Red Lotus!
Hence, upon discovering he was in front of the Elemental Well, with no powerful elemental elves around, how could Qin Feng not be tempted?
However, when Ruyi Golden Light touched the Elemental Well, he soon realized how absurd his previous thoughts were.
What a miraculous treasure the Elemental Well was, one that couldn’t possibly be so easily damaged. If it could be penetrated by a single instance of Ruyi Golden Light, it would be far too fragile.
Regardless of whether the well was personally crafted by the Elemental Goddess, it was at least far too robust for Qin Feng’s current Divine Power to shake.
If he used Karma Fire Red Lotus, there might be a slight possibility of creating a gap from the outside.
But this thought merely flickered through his mind and was immediately dismissed.
Once the Karma Fire Red Lotus was deployed, successful or not, it would certainly attract the attention of powerful beings from the Elf Clan.
The mere Elf Clan had already chased him all about, and if more powerful elemental elves intervened, he would surely be no match.
But to give up on such an opportunity and just walk away, he felt somewhat unwilling.
He glanced around and cautiously surveyed his surroundings, noting that even the closest elemental elves were playing dozens of feet away.
This area, after all, was the location of the Elemental Well, situated in the core area of the elemental elves. Even the Elves, uninvited, would never come here. With no incidents occurring and due to the nature of the elemental elves, who never thought to arrange any guard here, the elves outside were merely some underage elves frolicking nearby.
Therefore, Qin Feng quickly made up his mind, formed a hand seal, and suddenly a breeze stirred. It sent petals from the ancient trees and shrubs swirling everywhere, enticing a few young elves to chase the fluttering petals joyfully like butterflies.
Yet, unnoticed by these young elves, a breeze quietly entered the Elemental Well.
Qin Feng employed Wind Escape, transforming his body into a whirling breeze that entered the well.
Calling it a well, but it wasn’t actually too deep and rather spacious inside, like a small pond.
The breeze that was Qin Feng circled twice within the well, then employed Water Escape Divine Power, immersing himself in the Elemental Water.
The moment he entered the water, Qin Feng felt invigorated.
The Primordial Qi here was incredibly dense. The Elemental Water, capable of nurturing elemental elves, was profoundly mysterious.
Qin Feng went directly to the bottom of the well.
The Elemental Well was not connected to any underground water; hence, there wasn’t just an empty hole below but similar to the Creation Spring he had collected earlier, completely integrated with myriad cryptic patterns and continuous, intricate channels that could draw Spiritual Energy from the underground veins and transform it into Elemental Water.
Qin Feng sat at the bottom of the Elemental Well without actively absorbing; boundless pure Spiritual Energy was rushing into his body through the pores.
However, Qin Feng wasn’t here solely to absorb Spiritual Energy. If that was the case, the Demon Refining Pot could provide him with massive amounts of pure Spiritual Energy for cultivation any time.
He ventured into the Elemental Well to absorb some rare special energy from the external world and to comprehend the Rule Power within the Elemental Well.
Thus, he transferred the surging energies from outside his body into the Demon Refining Pot, the massive Spiritual Energy he couldn’t refine thoroughly in a short period. He acted like a filter, retaining some of the unique energies within his body.
These special energies possessed potent life force and some Creation Power, their perfect synthesis giving birth to the elemental elves.
Moreover, Qin Feng sensed seven faint presences within the Elemental Well.
These were elemental elves not yet fully transformed.
Every year, the Elemental Well gave birth to a varying number of elemental elves, sometimes three or five, sometimes more than ten. Although the numbers weren’t large, these little creatures had long lifespans, at least a thousand years each. After accumulating over many years, this allowed the Elf Clan to reach their current numbers.
Qin Feng looked at those slightly ethereal Elemental Elves and couldn’t help but be greatly moved.
These Elemental Elves were naturally highly compatible with various elemental powers, which was why they were inherently able to cast many spells instantly.
In this regard, they were very similar to the Nascent Souls of cultivators, both being formed from concentrated energy.
However, Human Clan cultivators had to comprehend the laws before they could condense their Nascent Souls, which was quite different from the Elemental Elves who naturally harmonized with various powers.
The reason why the disciples of the Beast Taming Sect’s Creation Lineage chose Heaven and Earth Elves as their Lifebound Beings was not only for their Innate Divine Abilities but most importantly for their attributes that harmonized with various elemental powers.
While Elemental Elves may not have the same potential for growth as naturally occurring elves, the difference was not too vast.
Otherwise, why would Elder Liuling have personally overseen this world for so many years?
Although Qin Feng had never learned the techniques of the Creation Lineage, being from the same sect, and one of the Nine Lineage’s True Disciples, he had had considerable contact with Qin Xi and Wen Qing’er, which gave him some unintended insights into the techniques of this lineage.
Additionally, aside from the Beast Taming Sect, other sects in the Cultivation World also had techniques to refine Heaven and Earth Elves to enhance their powers, which he had seen some of in the Scripture Repository Hall of his sect, hence his great interest upon sighting these yet intellect-bereft elves.
The Nascent Soul in his Purple Mansion Sea of Consciousness had such a strong foundation that progressing required much more effort compared to other cultivators.
He was confident that by refining these Elemental Elves, who naturally harmonized with various powers, into his Nascent Soul, he could improve the compatibility of his Nascent Soul with the Heaven and Earth Essence Qi–thus significantly speeding up his future cultivation.
However, to be cautious, he did not immediately act on these still formless Elemental Elves. Instead, he carefully concealed his aura, planning to wait and see. If the external Elemental Elves did not notice him, it wouldn’t be too late to make a move then.
If discovered, he would have to think of a way to escape.
Regarding the direction of escape, there was no need to be overly concerned. Like the Life Spring, the Elemental Well was connected to the Underground Spiritual Veins; if the elite members of the Elemental Elf Clan blocked him outside, he could still use the Big and Small Changes Divine Power to shrink his form and enter the Underground Spiritual Veins through narrow channels to find another escape route.
In fact, there indeed was chaos outside for a while, and just as the issue of two elves spotting an outsider intruding had not been resolved, the elite members of the Elf Clan chased in the direction Qin Feng had fled.
However, the territory of the Elemental Elves was not a place they dared to venture recklessly. After communicating and informing the Elemental Elf elders of their request to chase an enemy who had entered their territory and seeking assistance in the search, it took nearly half an hour to get approval.
By that point, the elite members of the Elf Clan knew it was almost impossible to catch that cunning individual; still, they held on to a slim hope–if that person was still hiding within the Elemental Elves’ territory, it would be a pity to simply give up.
Thus, the Elemental Elf Clan was mobilized, thousands of little elves cheerfully engaged in a game of hide and seek, searching here and there, occasionally darting into bushes and trees for playful frolic, completely turning the search for Qin Feng into a game.
Although the elder members of the Elemental Elf Clan searched the territory seriously along with the Elf Clan’s strong members–some small elves even flew above the Elemental Well to take a look–Qin Feng, who had already sensed the danger, had resized and hidden in the passage connecting the Elemental Well to the underground veins, naturally leaving no trace to be found.
Eventually, the elite members of the Elf Clan had no choice but to retreat, and the Elemental Elf Clan returned to its usual tranquility.
…
Qin Feng simply didn’t go out, but repeatedly explored the small passage back and forth, comprehended the power of laws within it, and only returned to the bottom of the well after the outside had completely calmed down.
When Qin Feng resumed his cultivation, he was not disturbed. After all, the Elemental Well was very special; ordinary little elves, even if they played nearby, would not fly randomly over the well, allowing him to cultivate peacefully.
Moreover, the power accumulated by the Elemental Well over countless years was enormous. Although the energy consumed by Qin Feng’s cultivation was substantial, it hadn’t reached the point where the Elemental Well couldn’t bear it. There wasn’t even a slight drop in the water level, due to the highly concentrated energy in the Elemental Water.
While cultivating, Qin Feng directly drew an ethereal Elemental Spirit Body with a secret technique and sealed it inside his Nascent Soul for refining.
However, every time he drew an Elemental Spirit Body, he would leave a spell illusion in its place to prevent little elves from accidentally discovering anything abnormal when flying over the well.
Thus, after more than ten days, Qin Feng finally refined all seven Elemental Spirit Bodies, which hadn’t yet developed consciousness, into his Nascent Soul.
At this point, he could clearly feel that his Nascent Soul’s sensitivity to Spiritual Energy had greatly improved compared to before, bringing him joy.
Nevertheless, he did not leave immediately but chose to continue secluding himself in the Elemental Well. Since there was an abundance of energy available, he figured that Elder Liuling wouldn’t mind him consuming some of the Elemental Water, as long as he didn’t take all of it at once.
After another month of frantic energy absorption, even with Qin Feng’s foundations, the intensity of such cultivation was hard to withstand.
After all, there was so much energy entering his body constantly, and if it weren’t for him transferring most of the Spiritual Energy into the Demon Refining Pot, his meridians would’ve burst from the pressure long ago.
Yet the benefits of cultivating in this manner were also clearly enormous. His Nascent Soul, originally half a person tall, had grown directly to twelve feet, much taller than his physical body!
Relying solely on Spiritual Energy wouldn’t work, but he had absorbed a lot of Vitality and Creation Energy contained in the Elemental Water. These two powerful forces had greatly advanced both his body and Nascent Soul, pushing his Physical Body Power directly to the peak of Purple Mansion, just a step away from the next level.
However, what pleased Qin Feng the most was that his Nascent Soul’s power had also reached this stage, akin to Half-Step Dharma Image!
He hadn’t been able to advance to a true Dharma Image Cultivator mainly because his understanding of laws wasn’t deep enough, which resulted in his realm not matching his power.
As long as he comprehended the laws to the corresponding realm in the future, he could advance directly!
However, this would take time, and his Spiritual Beasts needed time too.
The White Dragon, Life Tree, and Hellhound were easy, as they were already beings of the Dharma Image Realm, especially the Hellhound, which was already a peak existence among super monsters, just a thin barrier away from becoming a Demigod. Qin Feng could gain sufficient comprehension from them.
But the other Spiritual Beasts still lagged behind, and they needed to work together.
However, Qin Feng believed that with his own understanding and the stage he had reached, he was not far from advancing to Dharma Image. After all, his innate ability to understand laws was quite good, and he could comprehend the corresponding laws to accelerate his advancement speed!
Having the Spiritual Beasts help with his cultivation was fine, but he wouldn’t place all his hopes on them. The main Spiritual Beast in the nine-tier space of the Demon Refining Pot played the biggest role in his initial phase of cultivation. Once he became a great power in the future, it would be difficult for the Spiritual Beasts to help him even if he wanted them to.
After all, it was impossible for him to cultivate all nine Spiritual Beasts to the Immortal Golden Immortal level!
