If you feel Binbin is really worth your effort and investment, I have no issues with you targeting An Lan, but as you’ve seen, Binbin really isn’t cut out for this. “I’m just following orders.” Xiao Yue was also frustrated, realizing the problem himself, but he was powerless to change it now.

With that, the director slammed the door, visibly enraged.

After listening, Xiao Yue felt powerless and called Yan Ziqing back.

“The director said if An Lan is withdrawn, Binbin must be returned as well!”

“He’s threatening me?” Yan Ziqing frowned displeased. “Fine, tomorrow I will contact their head directly. Does that little director really think he’s somebody? Just do as I instructed!”

Xiao Yue found this young mistress truly difficult to serve and completely dismissive of industry norms.

After hanging up, Xiao Yue went to knock on Shi Lan’s room door.

Shi Lan opened the door, dressed neatly, leaning against the doorframe, and asked, “What mischief are you up to now?”
