Chapter 1436: Chapter 1408 Where in Life There Are No Surprises

When they reached the hotel, Kiara got out of the car with the child in her arms and casually glanced at the hotel in front of her, claiming to be the highest standard locally, it was merely on par with domestic express hotels. The economy here still had room for improvement, yet there were quite a few guests, predominantly of foreign faces, it seemed.

The locals weren’t particularly tall, and Kiara could spot one or two taller individuals who, despite their yellow skin, she guessed were foreigners; the locals had distinctive facial features, easily distinguishing whether someone was foreign or not. For example, the man ahead; Kiara could tell just from his back that he was from the Celestial Empire.

This familiar, perfect inverted-triangle physique, so handsome, clearly not a local–

Kiara instantly perked up; she nudged her glasses up her nose. Could it be she was missing him so much that everyone resembled him?

Wendy, secured to her mother’s chest with a baby carrier, also seemed to notice something and pointed at the figure, calling out energetically.

“Daddy~~”

Mother and daughter were all too familiar with the man, able to pick him out from a crowd based just on his silhouette!

Mario Yuno turned around, saw his wife standing there dumbstruck, and flashed a big smile at the enthusiastically waving Wendy.

“Hi~”

Aka chuckled.

“Look, didn’t I tell you that you’d need me to watch the baby? How do you like this surprise?”

“You… You knew he was coming?!” Kiara’s brain crashed the moment she saw Mario Yuno appear.

Such a huge surprise!

A guy who’d take the money after a night and run had now magically appeared in a place he had no reason to be, incredible!

“Yeah, the Boss and Brother Singh secured this overseas honeymoon trip for you. Once you finish your work over the next few days, you’ll be able to enjoy a couple of days to yourselves. Isn’t it a wonderful surprise?”

Kiara was overwhelmed by a flood of emotions, she had thought Mario Yuno was oblivious to her slight resentment; little did she know he had taken it to heart.

Such an opportunity might seem minor to others, but for someone of Edward Wheeler’s ‘Bright Clarity’ status, it was nearly impossible.

She could even imagine how much effort he and her Dad must have put in behind the scenes to make this happen.

Thinking this, the slight annoyance Kiara felt toward him completely melted into affection, and her gaze softened as she looked at him.

“You didn’t have to go through all that trouble,” she said tenderly to him.

“What trouble?” Mario Yuno freed his daughter from the baby carrier with a hand and gave Kiara a mischievous kiss on the face.

“Making the woman I like happy is no trouble at all. Don’t worry, I snatched some Money from the Yellow-faced Woman at Home, enough for us to feast and drink spicy abroad. Currently, nobody recognizes us overseas, your Husband isn’t here, my Yellow-faced Woman isn’t here, so let’s forget each other and enjoy being lovebirds in the wild~”

Such bad taste!

Edward Farmbright ‘Farmbright Farmer’ rolled his eyes dramatically at the disgustingly cutesy couple, wondering how on earth they ended up together!

Since the two were conversing in Mandarin, a suit-clad gentleman nearby overheard them. His mouth twitched involuntarily; although he preferred not to meddle, his sense of justice was too strong to restrain.

A blatant affair unfolding before his very eyes; this man using his wife’s money to gallivant with another woman abroad, and even speaking in Mandarin to keep their conversation private – to the gentleman, this was the epitome of shamelessness!

“I kindly ask you two to be mindful of your international image, do not disgrace your own Family!”

“Yes, yes, we’ll keep it down, or should we switch to Japanese?” Camden accepted the man’s suggestion with humility and then turned to Kiara, starting to speak in Japanese; Kiara nodded along, high-spirited, sure, that works too.

Uncle must have been shocked by the shamelessness of these two, leaving behind a glance of deep disgust as he quick-stepped away from the despicable couple.

“Pretending boredom is fun, Aka is outta here. If I hang out with this nauseating duo any longer, I’ll start reeking of their vulgar scent,” Farmbright dragged Aka along.

Watching Kiara and Mario Yuno being so sickeningly sweet gave Eldest Brother the creeps. Love is such a terrifying virus–just look at Junior Leader. One moment it was cloudy; now, suddenly, it’s sunny, so bright it’s nearly blinding this single dog’s eyes.

Aka is so much better, pure and cute without throwing dog food around.

“Come on, the Senior Brother will take you for some snacks. Let that gross couple continue to disgust others.”

Aka’s eyes were fixed straight ahead, as if she was in a trance.

Farmbright nudged her, “What’s up, too excited about Senior Brother treating you to some delicious food? Actually, it’s no big deal, taking care of my junior sister is my–”

“Sorry, Eldest Brother, I might not be able to accompany you anymore…” Aka’s face turned red, feeling like her whole heart was taking flight.

Just a moment ago, she was envious of Mrs. Kiara’s surprise but who would have thought that it would be her turn so soon!

“Uh?” Eldest Brother was utterly confused. What’s going on?

Then Aka fluttered towards the front like a little butterfly~

“Zoel Cohen~~~”

Zoel Cohen opened his arms, catching the approaching Aka, smiling.

“How did you get here?! Didn’t you say you were negotiating business overseas?” So happy~ He had called just before boarding the airplane to say he was still abroad, yet here he was so soon!

“Indeed, I was negotiating business, which is now concluded,” Zoel Cohen thought that what he did might seem a bit silly, but seeing Aka’s joy made it all feel worth it.

“How long can you stay here?” Aka asked joyfully.

“Until you return to the Domestic Region,” Zoel Cohen stroked her hair, delighted to see her so happy, waving at Kiara and her husband not far off, “You don’t mind me taking Aka off for a day, do you?”

Then, pinching Aka’s nose affectionately, he said, “I know you’re a foodie, I’ve already had someone scout out the best places for you to eat your fill.”

“Ah~” The feel of surprise made her happiness feel like it was overflowing!

“I think you’ve forgotten about what the Old Man said concerning the childcare, haven’t you?”

Huh, where’s this resentment coming from?

Following the source of the grudge, they saw Eldest Brother darkly radiating annoyance, looking as if he was about to grow mushrooms on himself.

“We don’t mind entrusting the Child to you to look after, so you can experience the joy of taking care of a Baby,” Mrs. Kiara, now in a great mood thanks to Camden’s sudden appearance, seemed much more amiable.

Does anyone spare a thought for the feelings of a single dog? Farmbright watched as both Kiara and Mario Yuno and Aka and Zoel Cohen all paired up, and there he was, all on his own. Not only that, but he was supposed to soothe a Child too!

“If you don’t soothe the baby, what will you do? After all, you’re the most free one here,” Mario Yuno added insult to injury.
