Chapter 3021: That Egg Was for Your Brother!

After finishing the steamed bun, Ning Shu was peeling the egg when Wang Ying’s mother stormed in, raised her hand, and aimed a slap at Ning Shu’s head.

Ning Shu dodged it effortlessly and stuffed the peeled egg into her mouth.

Delicious.

“You damned girl! That egg was for your brother!” Wang Ying’s mother raised her hand again, trying to hit Ning Shu.

Ning Shu shoved the rest of the egg into her mouth, grabbed her bowl, and ran out of the kitchen, drinking cold water as she went.

The yolk was stuck in her throat.

“How dare you? That egg was for your brother!” Wang Ying’s mother shouted furiously, panting with rage as she cursed at Ning Shu.

The way rural women cursed was incredibly harsh; they easily dragged someone’s ancestors through the mud.

Wang Ying’s mother was a typical rural woman–always working the fields. With her darkened and weathered face, she exuded a fierce demeanor.

She needed to buy emergency contraception and file a police report. There was no way she’d marry a rapist. Haha, she’d rather kick his balls in.

Mentioning money was like hitting Wang Ying’s mother’s sore spot. She nearly jumped. “What do you need money for?”

The rape had happened just the previous night, and Wang Ying’s family was still unaware of it.

“Don’t worry about it, just give me the money.” Ning Shu spread her hands. She had no money on her–her wages had all been handed over to her mother.

For nearly two years of working, Wang Ying had given her mother every penny of her salary without exception.

Wang Ying’s mother was the type to take but never give.

Well, not entirely–she was selective. She was generous with her son, readily buying Wang Chao new sneakers whenever he wanted them.

Ning Shu planned to head to the town first to buy emergency contraception.

“What’s with the racket? Can’t a person get some sleep?” A voice, rough from adolescence, called out. Wang Chao, groggy with sleep, looked at his mother and sister quarreling.

Wang Chao who was about sixteen years old had some fuzz above his lip and an irritated expression as he scratched his messy hair.

“Chao, your sister took the family’s money! Who knows what she’s planning to do with it? Quick, stop her!” Wang Ying’s mother exclaimed.

“That’s your tuition money!”

Wang Chao immediately tried to grab Ning Shu. Not having brushed his teeth yet, his breath smelled utterly foul, like he’d eaten dung.

Ning Shu directly kicked him, knocking him to the ground. She had a strong urge to beat up this little bastard.

The entire family spoiled him. The client sacrificed her opportunity to study just to support him.

He was nothing but a selfish and self-centered person who would grow up to be useless trash.

Wang Chao, in pain from the kick, started crying out in pain.

Wang Ying’s mother immediately rushed to help her son, full of heartache.

Ning Shu grabbed the money and ran out of the house, riding her bicycle toward the town.

Behind her, Wang Ying’s mother cursed at her loudly, but Ning Shu ignored it completely.
