Chapter 425: Move to 425 and live there.

Ye Jiu was terrified, she had made a mistake.

In Sikong Mo’s embrace, she did not feel at ease, for she had just escaped from the wolf’s den, only to enter the tiger’s lair in the blink of an eye.

It wasn’t that she thought Sikong Mo was joking, but beyond joking, she couldn’t understand what about her would catch his interest.

Fearing that she had truly angered Sikong Mo, Ye Jiu hurriedly shook her head, “Young Master Sikong, I am still young…”

This was probably her only advantage in refuting him–thankful for her youth.

The violent aura surrounding Sikong Mo instantly smoothed out, indeed, she was still young, still a child, not yet of an age to understand such matters.

So he said, “I will wait for you, Jiujiu.”

Ye Jiu wanted to cry but had no tears; she didn’t need this!

Why was this man so tenacious? Ye Jiu, with a bit of spite, began to dislike Sikong Mo.

Ye Jiu truly believed that men were the most unreliable things in this world.

So, with the Plane Space by her side, once she had money, she could do whatever she wanted. Why would she foolishly seek out a man of great power and influence? That would just be making life difficult for herself!

Even if she were to choose, she would find a young, easy-to-maintain “fresh meat,” firmly holding him in her grasp so she could do as she pleased, without fear of betrayal.

Unfortunately, she dared not articulate this thought in the presence of the evidently ulterior-motived Sikong Mo.

Ye Jiu was now somewhat afraid to be with Sikong Mo. Turning her head, her gaze could only land on his sleek chin, “Young Master Sikong, I wish to return to the inn first.”

“Alright.” Although he felt the resistance emanating from Ye Jiu, Sikong Mo did not want to acknowledge it.

Upon returning to the inn, Sikong Mo remained seated on his horse while Ye Jiu, with dismay, reminded him, “Young Master Sikong, I have arrived.”

It was then that Sikong Mo dismounted and lifted Ye Jiu down.

As she turned her head to run inside, Sikong Mo reminded her, “Jiujiu, the land deed has already been given to you. Why not move in today?”

While Sikong Mo’s words were framed as a question, his tone left little room for refusal.

Seeing Ye Jiu glance his way, Sikong Mo explained, “It’s not safe for you to live here.”

Only by moving closer to him could he ensure her protection.

However, Ye Jiu was unaware of Sikong Mo’s true intentions, simply feeling that he was right, so she agreed, “Alright, but my fourth brother’s leg is not yet movable at the moment, so I need to prepare.”

“That’s fine, I’ll have Guard Si Nan come over to assist you,” Sikong Mo said.

Because she truly needed the help, Ye Jiu did not refuse, “In that case, I thank you, Young Master Sikong.”

Watching Sikong Mo leave, Ye Jiu then ran into the inn.

“Miss Ye, you’re finally back, Young Master Ye has been nearly going mad looking for you,” Ye Jiu heard the innkeeper’s voice as she entered.

Turning her head, Ye Jiu replied, “Thank you for your concern, brother innkeeper, I’m going back right now.”

Once in the room, Ye Jiu made up an excuse to gloss over her disappearance for most of the day before announcing the decision to move.

After the three of them had packed their things, Guard Si Nan arrived.

Not seeing Sikong Mo, Ye Jiu spontaneously asked, “Guard Si Nan, Young Master Sikong didn’t come?”

“No.” Ye Jiu didn’t pick up on the distraction in Si Nan’s response.

After all, Sikong Mo was the Prince, a busy man; Ye Jiu did not dwell too much on whether he came or not.

Si Nan and another guard helped carry Ye Gaosheng onto the carriage. Ye Jiu, with Ye Wenzheng carrying luggage and leading the young beggar, then left the inn they had stayed in for several days.

It was only after arriving at their new home that Ye Jiu realized the house Sikong Mo had given her was actually right next to the War Prince Residence!

Though the main gate was not on the same street, one of the walls of her yard was pressed directly against the wall of the War Prince Residence; essentially, pushing down the dividing wall would merge the two into one.
