Belland’s expression changed.
Mary’s heart skipped a beat. She looked at Belland and asked, “Chairman?”
Another middle-aged man smiled and said, “Of course. I heard that the most famous battle on Wall Street in March was personally orchestrated by Mr. Glatton. He led the company to become the city’s richest man of the year at such a young age. It’s really admirable!”
Mary listened in a daze.

Belland quickly caught her. “Mary?”
His tone was as affectionate and concerned as ever.
Mary’s eyes were filled with tears. The tears blurred her vision, so much so that she could not see Belland’s hypocritical face clearly. It was as if her husband was wearing a mask in front of her, just like that.
Suddenly, Mary pushed Belland’s arm away.
At this moment, the two of them were standing outside the hall of the cocktail party. There was no one else around.
Belland stepped forward and was about to pull Mary’s hand.

Mary had given Belland a hard slap on the face, stunning him.
The tears in her eyes finally poured out.
