Chapter 1207: Chapter 1207: He Returns from Hell (5)
After dinner, Lin Zhi stuffed the movie tickets she had prepared into Su Hongxing’s hands.
She looked at Mo Li, signaling him to take more initiative.
Mo Li got the hint, knowing it was up to him now, although he didn’t have any confidence at all.
Mo Li and Su Hongxing watched Lin Zhi get into her car, then he turned to Su Hongxing: “You don’t want to watch a movie with me, do you?”
If Su Hongxing didn’t want anything to do with him, she wouldn’t flirt with him. Activities like watching a movie, she probably didn’t want to do either, right? He understood this woman’s temperament.
“I need to go home to look after my child,” Su Hongxing said to Mo Li with a smile: “I really enjoyed dinner today…”
At this moment, a man and a woman came out of the restaurant, and Su Hongxing’s gaze fixed upon them–it was Ding Ye and Du Qingyu.
Mo Li noticed that Su Hongxing’s expression was off. When he turned to look and saw it was Ding Ye, he too was surprised.
Du Qingyu also saw Su Hongxing and approached with a smile: “What a coincidence, to see you here. Did you and President Mo also come here to eat?”
Su Hongxing nodded, “Yeah, quite the coincidence.”
The city wasn’t big but not small either. She rarely went out for a meal, and to bump into Ding Ye just like that was really something.
“Let’s go, Su,” Mo Li couldn’t stand the sight of Ding Ye’s face; it made him feel as if he was looking at Ye Qilan. He just wanted to take Su Hongxing away quickly, far from Ding Ye.
“Miss Su, I have something for you. Come to my car,” said Ding Ye, walking ahead as if certain that Su Hongxing would follow.
Su Hongxing looked toward Du Qingyu. Weren’t these two dining together? How could Ding Ye just leave Du Qingyu behind like that?
Du Qingyu’s smile seemed forced; she hadn’t expected Ding Ye to just leave like that, totally lacking gentlemanly demeanor.
“Mo Li, you go ahead, I’ll ride with Mr. Ding,” Su Hongxing couldn’t resist Ding Ye after all, leaving Mo Li behind and quickly caught up.
Mo Li wanted to call out to Su Hongxing but also knew it would be in vain. In Su Hongxing’s eyes, Ye Qilan’s face was definitely more attractive than his, Mo Li.
Su Hongxing caught up with Ding Ye and got into his car: “What do you have to give me?”
“When you get home, you’ll see,” Ding Ye said as he buckled Su Hongxing’s seatbelt.
Su Hongxing was lost in thought, gazing at the top of his head. His scent seemed to be Ye Qilan’s too. Still daydreaming, Ding Ye had already fastened her seatbelt.
In the past, Su Hongxing would chit-chat to break the silence, but now she remained quiet, leaving only tranquility in the car.
By the end, Su Hongxing felt a bit sleepy. She was drowsy throughout the rides but didn’t fall asleep, and soon they reached Qingmu Garden.
What followed was Ding Ye driving into Qingmu Garden.
Su Hongxing hadn’t expected Ding Ye to be so indelicate about it, her gaze at him filled with surprise.
Ding Ye alighted first, opened the trunk, and said to Su Hongxing, “Come give me a hand with this.”
Curious, Su Hongxing stepped forward and saw the trunk was full of toys, and they were the educational kind that Little Pudding loved to play with.
Looking at Ding Ye’s profile, she asked in a hoarse voice, “How did you…”
Little Pudding had been sad to see his toys gone that day, but Ding Ye had so quickly bought new ones and brought them over. This couldn’t just be a coincidence.
“What are you standing there for, help me carry these,” Ding Ye urged.
Like waking from a dream, Su Hongxing couldn’t stop smiling. She picked up some toys and followed behind Ding Ye, looking at his back.
This was clearly Ye Qilan–how could she have doubted herself? It was ridiculous.
