Chapter 48: Who Are You Guarding Yourself Against?

Huo Weiwu frowned as sexually explicit scenes flashed in her mind. She lowered her voice, saying, “You’re not that perverted, are you? My canal is too small. I can’t contain an entire river.”

Gu Haoting paused momentarily. He examined her flushed face and charming eyes, and, sensing a hint of resentment and anger in her bashfulness, asked suspiciously, “What are you thinking?”

Huo Weiwu realized that she had misinterpreted what he meant and awkwardly changed gears, “I’m not going to remove it. There’s nowhere to wash my bra here.”

“Your bra padding is thick and has absorbed a lot of water, so whatever you wear is bound to get wet again. Take it off!” Gu Haoting grew impatient. “Or do you want me to take it off for you?”

Huo Weiwu was speechless.

She burrowed her way into the blanket, removed her bra, and placed it on the bedside table.

Gu Haoting’s penetrating eagle-like gaze locked on her. The displeasure in his eyes was growing in intensity. “We are the only two people in this room. Who are you guarding yourself against?”

Huo Weiwu felt vexed. Small flames were dancing in her eyes. “Who do you think I’m guarding myself against?”

Gu Haoting grabbed the blanket in one move and dumped it on the ground.

Huo Weiwu’s breasts were exposed.

Her blood was boiling.

She decided to jump off the bed and stood upright before him. With her arms wrapped around her chest, she said provocatively, “My panties are soaked too—do you intend to offer me yours? It’s so wet that my sanitary pad can no longer remain in place!”

Gu Haoting glanced at the sight of her breasts being squeezed together, and his eyes instantly became clouded with passion.

He finally understood what she was referring to earlier when she had declared that her canal was too small to contain an entire river.

“Your canal isn’t too small,” said Gu Haoting meaningfully.

Huo Weiwu was speechless.

Her eyes flickered uneasily. “Are you going to remove your underwear or not?”

Gu Haoting lifted her chin. In a much huskier voice, he said, “I’ll remove mine if you remove yours.”

Huo Weiwu realized that she was still wearing her sanitary pad anyway and said, “Who’s the chicken here? I’m waiting for you to do it.”

Gu Haoting nipped her lips. “Who do you think you’re talking to? If you spew such nonsense to my face again, I’ll do more than just bite you.”

Huo Weiwu wiped the corners of her lips. There was no blood.

Gu Haoting stared at Huo Weiwu as though he was a wolf staring at his prey. He unbuckled his belt.

His zip was pulled down.

Huo Weiwu turned away.

He placed his underwear in her hands. It was still warm with his body temperature.

It felt like a hot potato in Huo Weiwu’s hands, and she instinctively wanted to toss it aside.

When she looked at him again, he had already wrapped a bath towel around himself.

He had robust muscles, perfectly defined abs, and a tall, straight physique.

In no way did he look undignified.

Even though there was only a towel wrapped around him, he still looked like a noble king who was refined, authoritative, charming, and sexy.

This was especially true for his eyes. They were like a whirlpool capable of sucking someone in.

Huo Weiwu did not want to change out of her underwear in front of him. So, she grabbed her purse and his shirt before rushing into the bathroom.

His shirt was huge, and it looked more like a dress on her.

As for his underwear, she had no choice but to be stubborn and force herself to wear them since she was the one who had challenged him.

She emerged from the bathroom.

Gu Haoting had already changed into his clothes.

He was wearing a very simple outfit consisting of a white shirt and a pair of casual black pants. Yet, he was able to stand out in the outfit and retain his distinctively superior aura.

Huo Weiwu thought to herself, “I don’t think he could ever look undignified.”

Gu Haoting was holding a cup of dark brown sugar ginger tea and held it up to Huo Weiwu’s face. In a deep voice, he asked, “Drink this?”

Huo Weiwu looked at the red substance in the cup. There appeared to be odd black objects in the liquid. She asked defensively, “Does it contain poison?”

Gu Haoting was speechless.

“Huo Weiwu, it makes me feel empty being rejected no matter what I do. I am still very much looking forward to your canal that supposedly can’t contain an entire river,” he said as he reached out and undid the first button of her shirt.
