Chapter 1422: Chapter 1422: Consecutive Horizontal
Whether in reality or in the game, Charm is always the absolute center of attention.
She never used to wear a veil or anything like that, either in the game or in real life. Her beauty is indescribable, even Edward and the others couldn’t compare.
And in terms of achievements, she is the only woman leading a guild and team that could nearly keep pace with Edward.
Her personal charm played a significant role in this, but later, her boyfriend actually betrayed her for money and turned into a kept man, leaving Charm disheartened and starting her habit of wearing a veil.
At Spark Station, Charm never judges people by their appearance, but still, her admirers are countless.
Not to mention, there are many within Spark itself who secretly adore Charm.
The Spark Station, where the elders live, consists of separate villas, but Charm still lives in her original place. Every morning, her floor is piled with various flowers and gifts.
However, Charm always ignores them, which actually delights the cleaning staff and the gardeners hired by the guild.
Spark Station is not accessible to non-members and workers not related to Spark; clearly, it’s Spark’s own people who send these gifts, demonstrating Charm’s appeal.
Of course, Spark has many beauties, like Sister Li who is a businesswoman and an absolute knockout, but her presence is so strong that no member of Spark dares to provoke her, not to mention that she’s a powerful businesswoman in real life.
Feng Yi, the nominal wife of the president, is gentle, graceful, and elegant and also has numerous admirers.
But compared to Charm’s admirers, they fall short. To put it simply, any normal man, with just the glimpse of her eyes from behind cover, could be ignited by her.
Therefore, Charm truly has no intention to allure them, but even a simple smile from her, continues to sway their minds, their chests surging with a hot flush, and even three seasoned men can’t help but flush red, their gazes fiery when looking at her.
Charm had long become accustomed to such brazen gazes, ignoring them. With a restrained smile, she faintly said, “We mean no threat to you gentlemen, rather we seek cooperation. You should understand that it is not us Spark who are the most troublesome, but the team that occupies the Ninth Defense Line. Hence, we hope to collaborate with you to take down the outpost and then compete for its control.”
The three exchanged glances, realizing this strategy was indeed solid; multiple guilds together securing the outpost was the safest approach, and then from an equal starting point, even uniting against Spark could be feasible.
If they were not to secure the outpost first and chose to battle, only the last standing team would have no strength left to attack the outpost.
In reality, their three guilds’ current forces, if not united, lacked the strength to assault the outpost.
After all, the guild occupying the Ninth Defense Line was stronger and more numerous than them, and with advantageous defensive fortifications, any team attacking alone would be marching toward certain doom.
The reason why they had not rushed into action was the presence of the formidable Spark making these three guilds hesitate to act rashly.
Now that Spark proposed collaboration, they naturally grasped at it eagerly–at least by eliminating the lion, the tiger might not seem so fearsome.
With other teams also relentlessly attacking the defensive lines, not much time was left for them.
Charm, with her extraordinary intelligence, saw the possibility in their eyes and, without letting them speak, continued, “The collaboration I mentioned does not include the team from Busan Guild.”
The vice-president of Busan Guild changed his expression and said, “Don’t be deceived by this temptress, Spark wants to divide our alliance, they must be thwarted.”
The other two guild leaders took a deep breath and said, “Your charm is unparalleled indeed, but we are not newbies; to think you can divide us with your allure, you’re indeed overestimating yourself.”
Charm’s expression changed, and a flicker of cold light passed in her eyes, “My appearance is what my parents gave me, and now I cover it with a veil. If this is considered charm, then if I were to lift my veil and simply flirt a little, perhaps you’d kneel before me like dogs. Our main collaboration will not include the Busan Guild.”
Continuing, one vice-president not annoyed but puzzled said, “Why is that? To my knowledge, Busan Guild is not an enemy of Spark.”
“You’ve been deceived, you don’t know, but Busan Guild is just a cover, their real identity is Pirate,” Charm declared.
The vice-president of Busan Guild’s face changed suddenly, and he roared, “You are slandering, don’t be bewitched by this enchantress!”
This was something he could never admit–knowing that as players they could obtain a lot of fleet sailing intel, their targets of robbery being players too, and not sparing even players of the same faction. If this were to be discovered, their guild would essentially be doomed.
Charm directly shared several sets of pictures and spoke, “You should be aware of our president’s actions among the High Elves. Nowadays, players’ caravans rush to Sunsail Harbor, and our guild participates in the escort of materials. To counter the Undead Fleet, our Escort Ships along with other players’ Warships collaborate to strike the Undead Fleet to ensure the safety of our trade routes. However, this Pirate group called the Han Sea Pirates not only robbed the goods but also torched the cargo ships.”
“We know these were pirates pretending to be players, and after thorough investigation, we finally pinpointed the targets. You can compare these two sets of merchant ships’ modifications, the difference between the Pirate group and Busan Guild’s own fleet is just whether they have Battleship Armor or not.”
Looking at a series of comparative images, the two vice-presidents’ expressions changed. Just as Charm claimed, it was clearly the same fleet, only altered in a few aspects like ship armor, figurehead, and Pirate Flag when in pirate guise.
“The main instance quest has commenced, we had no time to resolve these matters, but since we’ve encountered each other here, it’s natural to settle our old scores.”
The vice-president of Busan Guild regained his composure, “It’s merely graphical edits, no matter how you slander, we cannot possibly be pirates. If you two watch us get eliminated, you’ll be doomed too.”
One vice-president coughed slightly and said, “It looks very similar, clearly the same fleet, collaborating with cunning pirates–speaking of which, pirates have even less credibility, it’s too risky to collaborate with you.”
The two guilds, of course, did not refuse collaboration with Busan Guild simply because they were pirates, their goal was straightforward–Spark was now too strong. If Spark eliminated Busan Guild’s forces, they would both suffer heavy losses, and with forces approximately equated, both guilds could then take down Spark.
The vice-president of Busan Guild, extremely agitated, shouted, “You are being short-sighted, if our guild is eliminated, you are doomed too.”
Seeing the two vice-presidents fall silent, Charm leapt onto the Hell Battle Scorpion, “Today, by annihilating you, we’ll remove your chances of contending for the first kill as interest…”
