Chapter 55: Mr. Li, Let Me Toast to You

An Mu halted and narrowed her eyes.

She seemed calm on the surface but the torrent waves underneath her were unbearable.

Why was Bai Yujie there?

An Mu felt disgusted and uneasy when she saw the horny gazes from some of the men with huge bellies.

Her alert eyes darted around, and she said, “Sorry, I went into the wrong room.”

She went for the door after apologizing.

Still, Bai Yujie tried to block her and humbly introduced her. “Tang Xia, you’re not in the wrong room. Come, let me introduce you to the investors of Conquered. This is Mr. Li, this is Mr. Wang, and this is…”

Bai Yujie dragged An Mu to the side of the dining table.

An Mu was capable enough to easily defend herself against Bai Yujie.

However, An Mu noticed that the moment they walked in, there were at least four bodyguards watching the door.

It was not a place to act recklessly.

An Mu was cautious but her face was still putting on a smile. Her clear phoenix eyes were cunning and magnetic.

The investors were impressed by her beauty. The gaze they gave off was as if they wanted to eat her alive.

Bai Yujie laughed and said, “Tang Xia, the people you want me to introduce you are all here. There’s a fourth female character role in the TV series—Conquered—and your image would be suitable for the role. Do you need Mr. Li and Mr. Wang to help you?”

An Mu glanced at Mr. Li and Mr. Wang.

Mr. Li was staring straight at her.

He had a big head and oversized ears. His body was big and heavy, but his small, perverted eyes were narrowed into a thin line. ‘Why did he look so familiar?’

An Mu could not recall when they met, but she thought if she were to refuse, he would definitely force himself on her.

The Grand Imperial was a place for the upper class. The privacy was so well-guarded that even if An Mu could escape from the private room, there would be no one to her rescue.

After giving it some thoughts, An Mu smiled.

She threw the bag on her hand to a nearby sofa. Then, An Mu loosened the buttons on her coat.

She wore her mustard yellow long dress but because the weather was cold, she added a red trench coat.

An Mu took off her coat and threw it onto the sofa again. Then she stepped forward, and lovingly greeted, “Mr. Li, Mr. Wang.”

Mr. Li’s eyes lit up in amusement when she took the initiative. He waved his perverted hands. “Little Tang, come. Sit here.”

An Mu smiled again, and she grabbed one of the glasses on the table and poured out half a glass of red wine. She leaned on the sofa and said, “Mr. Li, it’s very nice to meet you.”

Mr. Li laughed and placed his unsettling hands on her shoulder.

As Mr. Li was obsessed with her and his palm was hot and sticky, she felt disgusted when his hands landed on her shoulder.

Although, she did not reveal it on her face.

Mr. Li felt more excited as his unnerving hands slid from her shoulder to her waist.

Just when he was about to embrace her waist, An Mu quickly stood up. “Mr. Li, Mr. Wang, let me toast to you.”

He did not expect An Mu to get up so hastily.

Mr. Li’s hands felt empty and the expression on his face changed ever so slightly.

An Mu smiled as she said, “Mr. Li, let me have a drink with you?”

Mr. Li’s face was relieved when he heard An Mu.

‘Well, this little beauty was about to make a toast.’

Bai Yujie looked at An Mu scornfully as she pursed her lips.

She could not believe she saw her as a strong potential love rival, but now it seemed that she was one of them!
