Chapter 34 Fireworks Passing In A Flash

The couple embraced each other and made out till they were breathless.

“We’ve known each other for so long? Why don’t I remember it?” Qin Yue caressed his well-defined face.

“Perhaps it’s because I’m ugly that you didn’t notice me back then,” Kan Chen teased. “I’ve already arranged our itinerary. We’ll leave immediately.”

In order to escape from the paparazzi, Kan Chen arranged for a private plane to take them to Italy. There, they could put down all their restrictions and enjoy themselves.

Qin Yue enjoyed authentic Italian ice cream, immersed herself in the artistic atmosphere of Michelangelo and Botticelli, and praised the grandeur of the Milan Cathedral.

Kan Chen followed closely behind her, watching her play like a child.

When night fell, the couple strolled to the Trevi Fountain and made wishes.

Qin Yue silently prayed in her heart. She hoped that she would never be separated from Kan Chen. Then, she threw a coin into the fountain.

“What did you wish for?” Kan Chen was intrigued by Qin Yue’s serious expression.

Qin Yue smiled and kissed his cheek. “It’s a secret.”

Kan Chen brought Qin Yue to the highest peak of the city. The two of them admired the beautiful scenery of Italy, and Kan Chen got his men to light up the fireworks that they had prepared.

The dazzling fireworks lit up the city. Just as Qin Yue was praising the fireworks display, Kan Chen had already gotten down on one knee and pulled out a diamond ring from his pocket.

“My love… You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on. I want you to be my wife, will you marry me?”

Tears welled up in Qin Yue’s eyes, and she was extremely agitated.

She had waited too long for true love.

Qin Yue nodded. Kan Chen put the diamond ring on her finger, and the fireworks in the sky recorded the love between the couple.

After the proposal, the couple sat by a fountain, drinking champagne. Kan Chen borrowed a violin from a roadside musician and played a lively tune for Qin Yue. Qin Yue was slightly tipsy, and she danced barefooted with the music, becoming a beautiful sight on the streets.

Her little dance recital attracted a lot of attention, and everyone smiled at the attractive couple.

Qin Yue spun around, and the red dress on her body bloomed like a flower petal. In the end, under the cheers of the crowd, Kan Chen hugged the unsteady Qin Yue and kissed her red lips.

“You’re drunk, my love.” Kan Chen’s voice was low and gentle.

“It’s been a long time since I felt so relaxed. Ever since my mother died, my world seemed to have suddenly lost its light. I always thought that my mother died in an accident, but later on, I found out that she was murdered. I swore to find the murderer.” Qin Yue leaned against Kan Chen’s chest, listening to his strong heartbeat.

Kan Chen’s heart seemed to beat erratically.

“So, you’ve been investigating this matter?” Kan Chen pinched her chin. “I’ve said that I’ll protect you, so you can leave everything to

me.”

Qin Yue chuckled as she recalled everything that Kan Chen had done for her in her previous life.

“You’ve already done too much for me. Ever since I met you, my world has regained its warmth. I promise you that I’ll definitely protect myself and seek your help when I’m in trouble. After everything is over, I’ll stick to you for the rest of my life and won’t let anyone snatch you away.” Kan Chen caressed her hair and said, “You can trust me unconditionally. I’ll be your strongest support.”
