Chapter 1691: Chapter 1681: Could This Threat Be Any More Childish?
The servant went back to the kitchen to fetch a set of tableware, and carefully placed it in front of Enna Clark, “Ms. Clark, your tableware.”
After placing them, without needing any orders, he stepped back with perfect manners, waiting for further instructions at any time.
Baron Lawrence snatched her bowl, dominantly transferring a third of the noodles from his bowl to Enna’s with chopsticks, then spooned some soup in.
“Enna Clark, what kind of spoon is this you’ve got? Used for playing house?” After spooning half a day, he only managed to transfer a little, frustrating someone who usually lacked patience.
Enna Clark sulkily took the spoon from his hand, rolling her eyes at him and saying, “The spoon for soup is naturally this size. Am I supposed to use a ladle to give you soup?”
“What kind of look is that?” Baron Lawrence clearly saw that this woman just rolled her eyes at him!
It was the first time he had ever been rolled eyes at by someone in his presence, eagle eyes narrowing.
Enna wasn’t afraid of him, calmly continuing the task he just started, spooning soup over, and nonchalantly using a tone as if coaxing a child, “You saw wrong, that’s just my normal look.”
Baron Lawrence, “…”
Using a soup spoon to ladle soup indeed seemed a bit small, Enna Clark spooned for quite a while and managed to get only a bit. With the noodles almost soaking through, she simply returned the spoon saying, “Alright, let it be. I’ll eat this, you eat that.”
She pushed the bowl with more soup, looking appetizing, to the man. Picking up her chopsticks, just about ready to dig in.
The bowl in front of her was snatched away again, this time Baron Lawrence didn’t waste any time. He straightforwardly picked up his bowl, pouring most of the tomato soup into Enna’s bowl.
Then he tossed the eggs on top into Enna’s bowl as well, pushing the bowl in front of her, “Here, you have to finish it all!”
Did he think she was Superman wearing underwear outside his pants?
She didn’t have dinner either, after a nerve-wracking night, eating so little like she was a cat or bird?
Birds ate more than she did!
“At least you should eat the eggs…”
Eggs are also good for blood replenishment.
Before she could finish, the domineering person had picked up his chopsticks, glaring at her, leaving no room for argument, “What I give you is yours! You have to finish it! If you don’t, I’ll have the servant make you an extra-large portion!”
This threat…couldn’t it be a little more childish?
Enna Clark was amused by the ‘threat’, and picked up her chopsticks, starting to eat.
Oh well.
There was no egg but there was stir-fried pork liver and fish soup, as long as he ate more stir-fried pork liver and fish soup, it should be fine.
This meal could be considered one of the rare simple meals Baron Lawrence had ever eaten.
This kind of simple meal, usually, would never appear on his table unless the Michelin chef at home no longer wished to work.
But now it not only appeared, he surprisingly found it quite tasty.
Clearly an average flavor, but seeing the person next to him eating together, the mediocre flavor somehow tasted good as it passed through his taste buds.
He was indeed hungry, and combined with the fact that these were made by Enna Clark. Baron Lawrence had a great appetite, polishing off the food on the table.
Enna Clark had long finished eating. When he finished, she immediately went to the kitchen to bring out the fish soup that had cooled to the right temperature, “Here, Baron Lawrence, have a bowl of fish soup again. I’ve been simmering it all along. I tested it, it tastes pretty good.”
