Chapter 1492: Chapter 1492: Mr. Harris Can Fly a Plane?!
“Mr. Harris is going to fly the plane?” Enna Clark was surprised to see him heading to the cockpit without seeing anyone else and couldn’t help but ask.
Baron Lawrence’s attention was all on his laptop. When he heard her, he didn’t even lift his head, “He already has a first-class helicopter license, along with Class A fighter aircraft and Class C passenger aircraft licenses. There’s nothing surprising about him piloting.”
Mr. Harris also had a license for large passenger aircraft… Enna Clark was dumbfounded.
Baron Lawrence finally spared a bit of his attention, glanced at her surprised expression, and frowned, “He’s my housekeeper; of course, he’s fully responsible for my safety. And travel safety is the top priority in security!”
“I’m just a little surprised. I’ve never heard Mr. Harris mention that he could fly a plane before…”
“It’s his job! It’s not something to show off about!”
She was giving this surprised and admiring look just because he could fly a plane. The housekeeper serving the old man could do it too.
And the licenses he got were much higher-level than Scott Harris’s.
If she knew, wouldn’t her jaw drop in shock?
“I can fly too!”
“Oh.” Enna wasn’t surprised that he could fly. After all, he was still the commander of the Military District. Flying a plane was as normal as a doctor being able to treat patients.
No sooner had she finished speaking than her cheeks were pinched by someone, brutally pulled apart as he tormented her cheeks and gritted his teeth, “I warned you not to say ‘oh’ to me.”
Dammit, who was she brushing off?
Scott Harris could fly a plane, and she was surprised and admiring.
He could fly.
And she just said “oh”?
Dammit!
Enna Clark’s cheeks were distorted by his pinching, so she quickly tried to pry his hands away, gasping, “I get it, I get it. Baron Lawrence, let go, you’re hurting me.”
Her fair little face couldn’t stand any touch; it turned red just from a pinch. Although Baron Lawrence didn’t believe she was really in pain from the pinch, he still let go of her. His hawk-like eyes glared, threatening, “Next time I hear you being dismissive to me…”
The rest of the threat went without saying.
Enna Clark had never seen such a domineering and childish man. She massaged her cheeks, feeling downcast, “I got it.”
Actually, “oh” and “hmm” aren’t that different. She didn’t understand why he cared so much.
“Oh” doesn’t necessarily mean dismissive.
She agreed readily enough, and Baron Lawrence was finally satisfied to let her go. He forcefully grabbed her left hand, interlocking their fingers, before turning his attention back to the stock market on his laptop.
Ever since the old man’s accident, the stock market had been ‘lively’ beyond his expectations, especially these past few days. It was as calm as if the news of the old man’s hospitalization hadn’t been broadcast, which indicated the turbulent undercurrents below…
Baron Lawrence narrowed his hawk-like eyes, a touch of ruthlessness flashing across his proud and noble face.
Enna Clark rubbed her cheeks for a while until the tingling sensation finally disappeared. She gradually quieted down too, turned her head, and looked out of the window.
Compared to airplanes, helicopters have larger windows and a broader view.
Looking outside, she saw only the azure sea and the golden afterglow of the setting sun, the horizon blending the sky and the sea into one spectacular view!
Enna Clark’s attention was gradually captured by the scenery outside the window, slowly shifting away from the helicopter…
She didn’t know where exactly Baron Lawrence was taking her, but seeing the helicopter flying at sea level, it probably wasn’t heading back to Lawrence Castle.
But then, if they were continuously flying over the sea, where were they going?
