Chapter 1490: Chapter 1490: Did the sun rise from the west today? Chapter 1490: Chapter 1490: Did the sun rise from the west today? Enna Clark was forcefully pushed out of the kitchen by him.
It wasn’t long before she saw him carrying the piping hot Shrimp Porridge, Turbot fish, and the previously made stir-fried lettuce.
He also brought out the tableware, placing it on the dining table.
“Time to eat.”
Concise and to the point.
Having said that, he put a bowl of Seafood Porridge in front of Enna Clark and also handed her the chopsticks.
“What are you staring at? Take it.”
Baron Lawrence held the chopsticks up for quite some time and, seeing her still looking dazed, couldn’t help but frown slightly as he urged her on.
“Oh, oh, oh.” Enna Clark finally snapped back to reality and took the chopsticks from his hand. She hesitated before asking, “Baron Lawrence, seems like the sun rose from the east today, didn’t it?”
What sun rising from the east? Has this woman been kicked in the head by a donkey? The next second, he realized what Enna Clark meant, and his handsome face darkened as he gritted his teeth, “From the west!”
Damn it!
She was actually insinuating that him helping was as rare as the sun rising from the west!
He picked up a piece of lettuce and put it into her bowl, “Eat!”
Enna Clark was just teasing him a bit and didn’t expect to really provoke him; hearing his words, she silently lowered her head and began to eat.
Because of the kiss he had suddenly given her in the kitchen earlier, the Seafood Porridge had gotten a bit burnt at the bottom. The aroma of the glutinous rice mixed with a hint of burnt scent and the flavor of fresh shrimp, gave it an unusual taste.
The Turbot fish and the stir-fried lettuce were also well-made. Although the flavors weren’t extremely stunning, both dishes tasted okay.
The most important thing was that she had made them all by herself.
She had bought the ingredients personally and cooked the dishes herself.
So Enna Clark had a good appetite, eating two bowls of the porridge before putting down her chopsticks, “I’m full.”
Baron Lawrence had an even heartier appetite than her, always embodying the nobility’s elegance in his every move, yet he really ate a lot.
He had taken care of almost the entire Turbot fish.
Only the last bit of the tail was left on the plate.
After finishing the porridge, he put down his chopsticks with satisfaction, “The taste is pretty good.”
Enna Clark’s bright eyes curved at this, knowing he meant the opposite. Since he said it tasted good, it meant he was very satisfied.
Having her own cooking acknowledged gave her an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. Most importantly, seeing the previously irritable man return to his normal self, seemingly in a much better mood, made her smile even warmer.
Enna Clark took the initiative to tidy up the dining table. After washing her hands, she came out and saw the man at the table had walked over to the floor-to-ceiling windows to answer a phone call. She didn’t know what he had said, but he turned around, his gaze locking onto her.
Then, with his long strides, he walked straight towards her, grabbed her hand, and led her outside, “Enna Clark, come with me to a place.”
Enna Clark was caught off guard by his sudden pull and stumbled to keep up with his pace, asking while walking, “Where are we going?”
“The beach!”
This time it wasn’t just a vague “you’ll know when you get there!”
“The beach?” Enna Clark was a little stunned.
The sun was almost setting; what were they doing at the beach? Was he planning to go for a swim?
Unlikely.
Then… to watch the sunset?
Watching the sunset seemed too poetic an activity for Baron Lawrence’s style.
Probably, in his eyes, the sunset wasn’t as pleasing as the red and green of the stock market.
So why was he taking her to the beach?
They had already had dinner; surely they couldn’t be about to have another meal on the beach now, could they? She couldn’t eat another bite…
The villa they lived in was only a five-minute walk from the beach. While she was wildly guessing, Baron Lawrence had already pulled her to the edge of the beach.
