Chapter 1300: Chapter 1300: Rescued
“Protect the princess!”
The sudden situation plunged The North Sea’s guards into chaos.
Town North King, gripping Longsword, stood in front of Baylor Davenport, his face somewhat pale.
The enemy had clearly come prepared, a barrage of gunfire killed half of the camp’s guards instantly.
Given their geographical location, Town North King could easily guess that it was Deep Cold’s people who launched the surprise attack.
But Baylor Davenport’s whereabouts were secretive; how did the enemy find out?
The great army of The North Sea was less than three kilometers away from the camp; was Deep Cold’s audacity not a bit too much?
“When will the reinforcements arrive?” Baylor Davenport, after all, was a girl and was visibly frightened by the sudden situation.
She hid behind Town North King, protected by three guards.
But nearby, the sound of fighting was intensifying.
Whoosh!
A dart sounded.
The guard on Baylor Davenport’s left fell, a bloody hole in his forehead.
Before she could react,
Another dart sounded.
The guard on the right side of Baylor Davenport also fell!
Clang!
“Be careful, there are hidden weapons!” Town North King’s Longsword swung horizontally, striking a dart in the nick of time.
Sparks flew!
“Hiss…”
Town North King’s wrist numbed from the shock, and he hurriedly led Baylor Davenport toward the direction where The North Sea’s fleet was stationed.
“Follow me, princess! Everyone else, stay and cover our retreat!”
He gripped Longsword, grabbed Baylor Davenport’s arm, and sprinted toward Dragon Bay.
Time!
Time was everything!
“It’s been over a minute, why haven’t the reinforcements arrived yet?” Baylor Davenport asked in panic, “Could it be the prince consort is not coming to the rescue?”
Mentioning the prince consort of The North Sea made her teeth itch with hatred!
“Impossible! Even if the prince consort has ulterior motives and wants us dead, the soldiers of The North Sea would surely come to rescue upon seeing the signal flares!”
Town North King reassured her while they ran in panic: “Trust in the loyalty of the soldiers of The North Sea!”
“Okay.”
Baylor Davenport nodded forcefully, running together toward Dragon Bay with him.
Whooosh!
Suddenly!
A large net came hurtling towards them!
“Careful, princess!”
Town North King took a step forward, his Longsword slashing fiercely forward!
Sizzle!
But as soon as the fine steel Longsword touched the net, Town North King’s entire body convulsed on the spot, his complexion rapidly turning white.
An electrified net.
This was a common tactic used by Deep Cold to ambush elite opponents.
Under the high-voltage electrified net, even a Grandmaster would be stunned into unconsciousness.
Clang!
Town North King’s Longsword fell to the ground; he staggered backward and passed out.
Five seconds later, a squad sprang out.
“Miss Princess, please come with us!” Deep Cold’s sub-leader, holding a hidden weapons box, quickly surrounded Baylor Davenport.
With an ambush ahead and pursuers behind.
The sound had ceased back at the campsite; if nothing else, the guards assigned to cover their retreat had already been killed.
“Boss, we have only three minutes,” a member of Deep Cold whispered.
“No worries, our spies at Dragon Bay relayed that The North Sea’s fleet hasn’t made any moves,” the sub-leader took out a cigarette, standing in front of Baylor Davenport and lighting it up: “Will you walk, or should I force you?”
“You’re talking nonsense!” Baylor Davenport nervously glanced around at the Shadow Warriors, trying to sound calm, “I have already shot signal flares, the reinforcements from The North Sea will arrive any moment! If you don’t want to die, better scram!”
After these words, even she felt a bit unsure.
The signal flares were sent three or four minutes ago; this side was filled with gunfire and explosion noise. Why was there no movement from Dragon Bay?
But what she didn’t know was,
In dreams, anything is possible.
“Take her away!”
The sub-leader took a deep drag, threw his cigarette butt fiercely on the ground!
“Don’t come any closer!”
Swish!
Suddenly, a dagger appeared in Baylor Davenport’s hand.
She slashed forward, and the nearest Shadow Warrior was immediately stabbed and flipped onto the ground.
“Not bad, everyone charge!” The sub-leader aimed a gun at Baylor Davenport: “Make a move, and I’ll shoot you dead!”
The members of Deep Cold rushed up and snatched the dagger from Baylor Davenport’s hand, then twisted her arms behind her back.
“You wait, my North Sea won’t let you off easily!” Baylor Davenport cried angrily.
She lifted her head, looking toward Dragon Bay, tears swirling in her eyes.
Five minutes!
Not even a ghostly shadow!
“Sorry, the situation forces us! The North Sea wants our lives, brothers can’t just sit and wait for death.” The little leader snorted coldly and impatiently said, “Take him back!”
Whoosh!
Splash!
As soon as the words fell, the little leader hadn’t even taken a step.
An arrow broke through the air, directly piercing through his temple!
The little leader fell in response.
Blood splattered, covering Baylor Davenport all over.
“Who!”
Deep Cold members quickly turned around and began shooting towards the bushes.
In total darkness, they couldn’t see anything.
Whoosh!
Three arrows broke through the air again!
The Deep Cold members around Baylor Davenport didn’t even have time to figure out what was happening before they fell dead!
The arrow feathers, right in the chest.
“Solaris Grove?”
When he saw the arrow feathers on the ground, Baylor Davenport’s eyes widened with surprise and joy: “Solaris Grove, is it you?”
Whoosh!
The reply was an even sharper arrow!
In just half a minute, only one person remained standing behind Baylor Davenport, trembling as he aimed his gun.
“Don’t come any closer! Otherwise, I’ll blow your princess away!”
He was shaking all over.
Wasn’t there no movement at Dragon Bay?
How come now…
“What’s going on!”
In Deep Cold members’ earpieces, came Stephen’s questioning.
“Quickly move the princess away, don’t dawdle!”
Stephen shouted.
“Boss, we’ve encountered an ambush, our whole army is annihilated, now only…”
Whoosh!
Before the man could finish speaking, a sharp arrow broke through the air!
This Deep Cold member’s body flew back two meters and died violently!
“What’s happening!”
Just as the man died, Deep Cold members responsible for the raid quickly arrived.
Seeing bodies all over the ground, the leader hurriedly hid behind a tree.
In pitch darkness, unable to see the position.
“Fire the flare!”
Seeing the situation, he instantly guessed his teammates were ambushed.
To see the enemy clearly, they needed light!
And in the bushes.
Solaris Grove pulled the bow fully!
Eyes squinted to a slit!
Whoosh!
Arrow released!
The flare had just taken off when it was directly pierced!
Above the heads of the Deep Cold members, a blinding light burst forth!
“Boss, I can’t see anything!”
Someone wailed in pain, covering their eyes with both hands.
“Charge!”
On this side, Nelson’s arranged people quickly surrounded them.
In less than a minute, they had cleared the Deep Cold members.
“Retreat!”
Not far away.
Stephen sensed trouble and quickly evacuated.
“All for naught!”
He punched his leg, his eyes filled with resentment.
“Solaris Grove, how did you happen to be here?” After being rescued, Baylor Davenport finally relaxed.
Thankfully, she wasn’t captured by Deep Cold people.
“I…”
Inside, Solaris Grove fiercely cursed, “Damn woman, why don’t you go die!” But as the words reached his lips, they naturally changed to: “Are you alright? Weren’t you frightened? Sorry, I was a bit late…”
He lowered his head, painfully said, “It’s good you are fine.”
All the pain, as if healed at the moment he saw Baylor Davenport.
“Quick, take me to see the Grandmaster!” Baylor Davenport gritted her teeth: “I want to demand justice!”
