Chapter 27: What A Coincidence

“Got it. I’ll head over in a bit,” Yan Xin replied. That afternoon, they’d had lunch in their rooms. Yan Xin thought that she would’ve been perfectly happy not moving for the whole day, but if she needed to busy herself for the whole day, she wouldn’t have liked it much. 

“Which outfit are you going to wear?” Just as the nanny finished giving her notice, Qingcang appeared in her doorway again.

She looked at him helplessly. “What do you want?” At this moment, she really regretted bringing such a noisy person along, and she wanted nothing more than to use magic just to shut him up.

“I’ll wear whatever.” Most of Yan Xin’s clothes had been prepared by Qingcang. She did not have any requests as long as they was simple and comfortable. She did not want to use her brain on such small matters.

“Mingyu, I’m here!” Suddenly, they heard a shrill female voice. Attracted by the voice, the two of them walked to the French window by the side to see who it was.

“The power of love is great!” Yan Zhen knew that they were leaving today. To prevent her from doing anything bad, Xie Mingyu had specifically asked Master Yan to distract her.

In the end, this woman was way too persistent—she’d somehow managed to get someone to chase after them in a speedboat.

“Does your elder sister have to stick to his side like that?” Qingcang teased. “Xie Mingyu would never like her. She’s so stubborn.” Though he could admit that her kind of feisty spirit was admirable, he just didn’t know if Xie Mingyu would be lucky enough to enjoy it.

“Do you have a way to send her away?” Mingyu asked the black-robed man behind him, having not heard Yan Zhen’s words at all.

“I’m not afraid of one more person,” the black-robed man replied.

“But she’s annoying.” Mingyu gritted out past the warm smile on his face.

“Haha, then do as you see fit,” the robed man said. It actually wasn’t too bad, but Mingyu hadn’t expected Master Yan to have done this in response to his instructions. He was not someone who could be easily fooled.

And so, he immediately called for his bodyguards and asked them to send Yan Zhen back.

“Mingyu, I’m not leaving! I won’t! Can’t you see? This speedboat is out of fuel. I can’t leave.” It was then that Yan Zhen ruthlessly raised the small knife in her hand and stabbed the speedboat’s fuel tank.

“You…” This was the first time Mingyu had ever felt so powerless in his entire life.

“Ahahahaha! Xie Mingyu, it’s been such a nice day for you! Ahahahaha!” Qingcang, having witnessed the entire scene, was now sprawled on the soft, clutching his stomach as he rolled about in laughter. “Amazing. Your sister’s amazing!”

Most of the people who could make Mingyu suffer like this probably weren’t born yet, which was why Qingcang’s mood today was amazingly gleeful. 

“She can’t help us, though,” Yan Xin said as she looked into the distance.

“Yes, but she’d already cut off her own path of survival.” Anyone could see that Mingyu was already very angry. If one was to provoke Qingcang, he might take revenge, but if one was to provoke Mingyu in such a state, then it would be nothing but troublesome. 

Just then, Mingyu whipped out a walkie talkie and asked, “How many spare speedboats do we have?” As he looked at Yan Zhen, his smile grew more and more serene.
