Chapter 20: Small Misunderstanding

“What’s wrong?”

“What exactly happened?”

“Why is there a bunch of people gathered here? Don’t you need to go to class?”

A dignified voice sounded. A well-dressed white-haired old man walked over from afar under the lead of two assistants.

The crowd automatically parted a path for them, showing that this old man’s identity was not ordinary.

“Hello, Principal.”

When the invigilator saw the white-haired old man coming over, he hurriedly took three steps forward and two steps forward to welcome him.

“Principal, something small has happened,” the invigilator respectfully explained.

“Small matter?”

The principal frowned and continued to say, “No matter how I look at it, doesn’t this seem like a big matter?”

The invigilator, Gail, Adams, Jessica, and Peter were surrounded by more than half of the school’s teachers and students. They were also noisy as if they wanted to turn the school upside down. No matter how you looked at it, it didn’t seem like a small matter.

“Today, our class will have an exam. You know this as well.”

The invigilator glanced at the silent Adams and said in a low voice, “But during our exam, some students in the class were cheating.”

The principal frowned.

“This Adams is a bad student to begin with. He might not even pass once a year.”

“In the end, he actually managed to score 80 points in this exam, and that’s not all!”

As the invigilator spoke, he pointed at Adams with his finger, as if he was telling the truth and was very sure.

“What about you, young man? He said you cheated. Did you really cheat?”

After listening to the invigilator’s words, the principal did not choose to believe all of them.

Instead, he asked Adams. This young man was quite handsome and did not look like a person who cheated.

“Principal, I studied hard during the holidays. Then, I passed the exam. Could it be that I cheated?”

Adams calmly continued, “According to what the invigilator said, isn’t every poor student unable to do well in the exam, or else he cheated?”

“If that’s the case, why should we poor students study?”

Adams’ words were undoubtedly excellent.

It was impossible for a school to only have top students. Those with average results, or even some with poor results occupied the majority.

Many girls in the crowd looked at him with admiration.

“He’s much more handsome than my boyfriend!”
