Chapter 2499: Chapter 2500: I’m Willing to Die for You

The four people nodded, their expressions firm and serious.

They knew Caie Mitsui wouldn’t obediently cooperate, so they all kept their guards up to the highest degree.

After giving instructions, Sakamoto Tai Lang left with the remaining people, and the ultrasound room quieted down.

“Young lady, we can start now. Lie down, please,” the doctor said softly.

Caie Mitsui nodded and slowly lay down on the medical bed, her expression complex.

She was well aware of the upcoming process. Her results would show no issues, and the doctor wouldn’t provide her with any treatment plans.

When the time came, citing physical discomfort to force her stay here would be inappropriate–nor would they give her such an opportunity.

Soon after, the doctor pulled the blue curtain closed. However, it wasn’t completely drawn, leaving her head visible. The people outside could still see Caie Mitsui.

Under the doctor’s instruction, Caie Mitsui lifted her shirt, exposing her smooth abdomen, and the examination began.

Very quickly, Caie Mitsui sensed something was off.

She had undergone similar examinations before and knew what the process should be like.

But the doctor in front of her wasn’t following the standard procedure and instead used his fingers to press a few points on her belly.

Although the difference was subtle, Caie Mitsui still noticed something was amiss!

She suddenly turned her head, and their gazes locked instantly.

In that fleeting moment, Caie Mitsui recognized that unmistakable pure look!

She was certain!

The person examining her was Lin Yi!

At that moment, she figured out everything!

It had all been within Lin Yi’s calculations!

He had been waiting for her here all along!

Lin Yi made no sudden moves, his demeanor completely composed.

He casually picked up a piece of paper and placed it on Caie Mitsui’s thigh.

Because of the curtain, the people outside couldn’t see Lin Yi’s actions. But Caie Mitsui could see everything clearly!

Suppressing her surge of emotions, Caie Mitsui shifted her body ever so slightly.

She was trying to signal Lin Yi that she had seen the words on the paper.

About a minute later, Lin Yi lowered his voice.

“It’s done.”

“Doctor, how’s my condition? Is there any issue?” Caie Mitsui asked, playing along.

“You have a gallstone. If possible, it would be best to perform surgery tomorrow.”

“Alright, I’ll come back tomorrow to get admitted.”

“Okay.” Lin Yi nodded and said,

“Wait here for a moment. The printer is out of paper. I’ll go get some to print the report for you to show the doctor later.”

“Alright.”

Lin Yi slowly stood up, moving like an elderly man, and walked out at a leisurely pace.

Meanwhile, Caie Mitsui also nonchalantly moved closer to the four guards.

Everything proceeded smoothly, without raising suspicion.

As Lin Yi walked away, the distance between him and the four guards got smaller.

At that moment, one of the Sunrise Landese spoke up.

“Why do I smell something strange?”

“I smell it too. Suddenly, I feel a bit sleepy…”

Before he could finish speaking, Lin Yi moved with lightning-fast speed. He drew a dagger from his waist, giving them no chance to react. In a flash of cold light, he slit their arteries one by one!

In an instant, the four of them widened their eyes. The abrupt turn of events left them bewildered.

Caie Mitsui reacted swiftly, covering the mouths of two of them with all her strength, determined not to let them make a sound that might alert anyone outside.

Lin Yi did the same, covering the mouths of the remaining two. Not a single noise was allowed to escape.

Roughly a minute later, the four men ceased their struggles in succession. Blood sprayed everywhere, turning the ultrasound room into what looked like a scene straight out of hell.

“Mr. Lin Yi!”

Caie Mitsui threw her arms around Lin Yi and began crying uncontrollably, overwhelmed with emotion.

Lin Yi gently stroked her head.

“I know it’s been tough for you, but now’s not the time for celebration. We need to move quickly, or it’ll be too late.”

“Mm, mm.”

Caie Mitsui nodded emphatically. As long as Lin Yi was there, she had nothing to fear.

Meanwhile, Sakamoto Tai Lang and the remaining six men were waiting outside the ultrasound room.

The sound of crying echoed through the hallway, irritating Sakamoto Tai Lang.

“So annoying. Tell them to quiet down!”

“Yes, sir!”

One of the Night Ghost members walked over to a middle-aged woman holding a wailing baby. His face showed no trace of sympathy.

“Please keep your child quiet. We’re in the middle of an operation.”

The middle-aged woman’s face darkened.

“My child is sick. How can you expect me to control his emotions?”

The unreasonable demand drew scornful glances from other patients.

The Wild Ghost member looked a bit awkward. Realizing his fault in the situation, he turned back to Sakamoto Tai Lang without saying more.

“Ignore them. The person inside will be out soon.”

And so, accompanied by incessant crying, a few minutes passed, but Caie Mitsui still hadn’t come out.

Sakamoto Tai Lang’s brows furrowed deeper and deeper, nearly scrunching together.

He’d undergone such examinations himself. Typically, no matter the result, it shouldn’t take more than two or three minutes.

But now, five or six minutes had passed with no sign or sound. Sakamoto Tai Lang sensed that something was wrong.

“Mr. Saka! Look!”

A Night Ghost member exclaimed in alarm.

Following the direction of his finger, Sakamoto Tai Lang saw crimson blood seeping out from beneath the door!

Suddenly, his heart raced as unease consumed him!

“Quick, get in there! Something’s happened!”

In a rush, the group pushed the door open, only to be greeted by a shocking sight: Four bodies lay on the floor, their arteries severed, blood covering the room like a hellish nightmare!

But Lin Yi and Caie Mitsui were nowhere to be found–they had vanished without a trace!

Sakamoto Tai Lang’s face turned pale. His fists clenched tightly, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that, under watchful eyes, Caie Mitsui would still manage to escape!

“Send people to pursue them immediately! Don’t let them get away!” Sakamoto Tai Lang roared angrily!

“Yes, sir!”

The remaining people immediately dashed out of the hospital.

Meanwhile, the crying baby and his mother had also disappeared.

At the same time, Lin Yi and Caie Mitsui had already fled the hospital in a car, temporarily safe.

“Mr. Lin Yi, I missed you so much.”

Sitting in the car, Caie Mitsui clung tightly to Lin Yi’s hand as tears streamed down her face.

“This is my fault. I got you involved in this mess,” Lin Yi said apologetically while gripping her hand.

“I never should’ve asked for your help in the first place.”

“Even if I didn’t help, they would have still suspected me,” Caie Mitsui said firmly.

“Besides, I don’t regret it. Even if I had to die for you, I would willingly do it.”
