Chapter 425: Chapter 427: Spatial Fracture, The Disappearance of Lide
Within the divine relic, the air was suffused with a suffocating atmosphere.
In the dim environment, the divine pressure weighed on everyone’s heart like a giant rock.
In the central area enveloped by countless poisonous snakes, inside the pitch-black altar, the sealed Snake Clan God had completely fallen into a frenzy.
He sensed a fatal threat on an extraordinary vampire…
This was simply unbearable.
But because the sealing had lasted so long that his power had dissipated too much, it also filled him with fear.
If this continued, he would truly be killed by that damnable vampire.
The thought of being killed by an extraordinary presence nearly drove the Snake Clan God to madness.
“Extraordinary… An extraordinary vampire wants to kill me???”
As his voice, tinged with fury, echoed through the cavernous space, an indescribably terrifying aura suddenly rose from the altar.
The entwined snake reliefs, whose bloody eyes had dimmed, now burst forth with a dazzling crimson light.
“mrgmyd…..nqThmrg…pyndrhmyd…”
An extreme evil and malevolent aura, mixed with the peculiar accent of an exotic realm city state, reverberated through the sky.
The already dim environment of the plane grew even darker. After the evil had gathered to its extreme, a bang–the space above the altar suddenly shattered, unleashing a surge of abyssal aura, vastly different from that of the Snake Clan God.
A god.
Another god!
At a critical moment, the Snake Clan God had actually summoned another Abyss Evil God.
Lord Lide’s face changed at that instant. This bastard actually pulled this trick??
His brows furrowed tightly. Under his perception, the newly emerged malevolent aura swelled like a tide, and to his surprise, it felt somewhat familiar.
Moments later, as if realizing something, his eyes snapped open.
“God of Twilight??!!”
Yes, he sensed it. The new aura that had appeared was almost identical to the aura of the Twilight Godhood in his possession.
Unexpectedly, when the Snake Clan God couldn’t win, he had summoned the God of Twilight…
This caught him off guard.
But he still didn’t let go.
At this point, if he retreated, the seal of the Snake Clan God would immediately collapse, and everything he desired would come to naught.
Moreover, more crucially, even if the God of Twilight was strong, it was sneaking into the Main Plane from another–a feat that, as long as he could withstand the first wave of attacks, the will of the Main Plane would undoubtedly expel.
Not even gods with Powerful Divine Power could contend with the will of the Main Plane; what chance did one with at most Medium Divine Power have to cross borders??
His resolve strengthened in an instant, and far from stopping due to the emergence of the God of Twilight’s aura, he increased the output of his Dark Faith Power.
He intended to completely devour the Snake Clan God.
Sensing Lord Lide’s actions and his murderous intent, the Snake Clan God became both shocked and angry, but he had no choice but to cast spells more rapidly, accelerating the summoning of the God of Twilight.
He believed that once the God of Twilight appeared, upon sensing the twilight aura on Lord Lide, it would kill him at all costs.
That was the chief reason for summoning the God of Twilight at this critical juncture.
Of course, the fact that they were allies before his sealing was also a key point.
At this desperate juncture, the Snake Clan God could no longer bother with the details; summoning the God of Twilight might afford a glimmer of hope. If not summoned, his death was certain.
Crack–
The sound of shattering glass rang above the altar, and then, under Lord Lide’s gaze, space directly fractured.
The surging Divine Power was magnified to the extreme.
The God of Twilight had appeared.
“Who… summoned me…”
Blasphemous words in the language of the abyss emanated from the pitch-black crack, spanning more than a dozen blades in width. At that moment, the malevolent aura nearly solidified, making it nearly impossible for even a level 15 top combatant to endure, let alone a newly level 12 Unicorn.
This was a power from another level entirely.
“God of Twilight… do you remember your ally?” The tone of the Snake Clan God now held a hint of excitement.
“I have discovered a thief who has stolen your power; let us join forces to kill him and retrieve your power!”
After these words were spoken, the shattered spatial rift fell silent for a moment, but almost instantly, with a bang–the rift exploded again.
Zila~
The width of the space directly expanded from more than ten blades to forty or fifty blades, as fragments of space floated up like glass, creating a sight of mesmerizing beauty.
And with it, a black crow formed from soul energy flew out of the spatial passageway.
Divine Power was overwhelming.
After the crow’s arrival, a terrifying presence pressed heavily on Lide’s chest like a massive stone.
“Damn thief!!”
The Soul Crow, which had no physical body, spread its wings and flew, its hollow gaze filling with extreme anger upon seeing Lide.
Yes, it sensed it, its lost Divine Status was in the hands of this damned Vampire.
“So, you are Kachar, Lord?!! When you previously tried to steal my power, I sensed you through my Divine Position, when you were shouting your Name in front of my Believers…
You lowly Vampire, dare you defile my power?!!”
Lide took a deep breath at the enraged tone of the Soul Crow.
Facing two Evil Gods at once, the pressure was almost impossibly intense.
Yet his gaze remained unshakably firm.
He was determined to kill the God of the Snake Clan today, and not even Jesus could stop him.
No matter what kind of dogshit Evil God you are, if you must die, then die you will!
Lide looked up and roared fiercely.
“Asreaga!! Stop him!!”
After a furious shout, beside the Soul Crow, an Ancient Divine Monster appeared, slashing through the air: three blades tall, with a head crowned with twisted horns, eyes filled with brutal bloodlust, and skin marked with blasphemous inscriptions.
Asreaga’s sharp claws were half a blade long; as he swung them, the space around him was cut like paper.
Ruthlessly unmatched.
Zila~
In the blink of an eye, the crow formed from the Divine Energy of the God of Twilight was torn apart by Asreaga.
The Soul Crow had no corpse, but the Extreme Evil power of the Divine Monster could corrode everything, and Asreaga’s oppressive Talent allowed him to devour Negative Energy and grow stronger.
As the Soul Crow shattered, over a third of its Soul Power was devoured by Asreaga.
After the Soul Crow was torn apart, it reformed in the next blink into black energy hundreds of blades away, and its power dimmed significantly upon its reappearance.
“Damn bastard!! Divine Monster!! Why is there a Divine Monster here?!!”
The appearance of Asreaga enraged the God of Twilight, and even the God of the Snake Race, who was being suppressed, was shocked.
Divine Monsters were abominably evil beings that even Divine beings dreaded, possessing a routine ease in god-slaying.
It was beyond their imagination that this Vampire could subjugate even a Divine Monster.
Asreaga didn’t bother conversing with the God of Twilight, but disappeared at the moment the Soul Crow reformed, reappearing beside it in the next second.
At this point, the energy-formed crow could no longer escape.
Despite the God of Twilight’s preparedness, it still couldn’t escape from the hunt of the Divine Monster–spatial Talents were simply too monstrous and powerful.
Zila~
As Asreaga’s claws swiped, his eyes–fused with the Ancient Evil God’s Eye–suddenly emitted a terrifying, bloody radiance.
Ancient Eye: Ancient Intimidation, emitting absolute power capable of daunting beings below the level of Powerful Divine Power.
The Soul Crow, which had intended to scatter and flee again, was immediately overwhelmed by infinite Divine Power, rooted to the spot.
This time, Asreaga didn’t give his opponent a chance to escape, activating a terrifying devouring ability, consuming all the Soul Crow’s power.
If one could see his attribute panel, they’d notice that the Divine Status of this Divine Monster had just increased by 12 points.
“No!!”
A sharp voice filled with immense hatred came from the spatial rift, the God of Twilight feeling as if its heart bled at the loss of the Soul Crow infused with more than ten points of Divine Status.
Divine Status was essential for a Divine being, each drop was incredibly precious.
Despite such a significant loss, the God of Twilight didn’t lose its composure, and watching Lide still ferociously assaulting the Poison Snake Altar, it too became determined.
While Divine Status was precious, it paled in comparison to the Divine Calamity within Lide.
Divine Calamity was fundamental for it: should it reclaim that Divine Stone belonging to it, its power would return to its peak.
After making its decision, and to the surprise of Lide, the shattered spatial rift suddenly burst open, swarming out countless Soul Crows like a plague of locusts.
The already dim environment was now plunged into complete darkness.
Most of these crows were constructed of Divine Power, among them mixed a dozen crows containing even more precious Divine Energy.
Divine Nature was the original source of the gods, whereas Divine Power was something that could be continuously replenished; the two were not the same kind of energy.
The sudden surge of Soul Crows caused immense trouble for Asreaga, a Divine Monster who was strong in everything except for one weakness–he lacked group attack skills.
All of Asreaga’s attacks were targeted at individuals, making him extremely powerful in hunting bosses, but when faced with situations like this, he ran into problems with being overwhelmed.
Although a single swipe of his claws could obliterate a Soul Crow, when the number of opponents reached tens of thousands, individual hunting was clearly insufficient.
For this reason, he could only give up on those ordinary Soul Crows and turned to hunt those imbued with Divine Nature.
There were simply too many Soul Crows to handle.
And unnoticed by anyone, a portion of the Soul Crows headed straight for the area beyond a dozen or so blades’ distance from the Poison Snake Altar upon entering this Plane.
Because they had no physical form, the crows could easily enter the ground below.
At this time, even the Divine Monster’s attention was drawn by the clouds of crows containing Divine Nature, failing to perceive the subtle changes around the altar.
All of Lide’s attention was focused on the aggressive erosion of the Snake Clan God, and although his inner self was constantly alerting him, his Danger Perception was reduced in effectiveness in such an environment, fraught with danger everywhere.
Therefore, he also missed the crows invading the ground nearby.
By the time thousands of Soul Crows poured downward in unison, Lide realized that the God of Twilight must have additional schemes, but by then it was too late.
“Shatter!”
Accompanying the roar from within the spatial rift, the ground around the Poison Snake Altar, over a dozen blades in circumference, instantly exploded.
In this already fragile space of this Plane, it was like cotton set ablaze, and a huge hole burned through.
The space in the area where Lide was located twisted directly, and phantoms of the Abyss Land filled with the stench of sulfur began to emerge around him.
This was inter-dimensional transport.
The God of Twilight evidently intended to transport the entire area into the Abyss.
But the God of Twilight acted too swiftly, and Lide, completely engaged with the Snake Clan God, could not possibly disengage in an instant.
Then, in less than a breath’s time, the God of Twilight used the Soul Crows as an energy source to instantly unleash an extremely terrifying power, transporting the entire Poison Snake Altar and Lide back into the Abyss.
Asreaga only realized the God of Twilight’s plot after the Soul Crows exploded, and it was too late to stop it. He stepped forward, following the transport’s force along with Lide into the Abyss.
When he looked back at that area, the altar that had just stood proudly on the land had vanished without a trace.
After the disappearance of the Poison Snake Altar, the Soul Crows also burst apart, turning into streams of evil energy that dissipated into the air.
At the same time, the incessant Abyssal blasphemous utterances that had been lingering in the air also abruptly stopped.
And the hissing, screaming snakes that covered the twenty-kilometer square of land seemed to have lost their souls all at once, collapsing en masse, silent and motionless.
Looking down from the sky, the center area of the Poison Snake Altar was now nothing but a hole a dozen blades wide and over twenty blades deep.
The Divine Power that had pervaded the space just moments before was gone without a trace.
If not for that hole, no one would believe that there had just been a battle between divine beings here.
The elves, who were urgently preparing in the background, suddenly stopped their actions when the Abyssal blasphemous utterances ceased.
Everyone’s gaze turned towards the direction of the altar, their expressions filled with shock and doubt.
“Why has the Evil God’s aura disappeared?”
Eyes flickering with confusion, Aler, as if recalling something, let out a soft yet far-reaching call.
Moments later, the Unicorn sprinted forward, and with a nimble leap, Aler sat astride and dashed toward the altar.
“Continue with the preparations; I am going to check the situation.”
Feeling a bad premonition rising in her heart, Andabella didn’t delay, her crimson cape unfurling as she floated up and likewise sped towards the altar.
Betty, with a deeply furrowed brow, wanted to follow but unable to fly, continued to wait with a sense of unease.
As Andabella drew closer to the direction of the altar, her anxiety grew heavier. When she arrived at the location and saw the deep pit, her heart lurched, her eyes filled with disbelief.
“The altar… disappeared?!!”
How was this possible?!!
That was the altar that sealed the divine being, how could it just disappear without any disturbances?
Although the recent battle was fierce, the Abyssal blasphemous utterances subdued the noise, and the affected area was very narrow. The start and end were brief; they hadn’t felt much fluctuation.
Upon seeing this scene, Aler was no less shocked, her mind swirling with countless thoughts before she cautiously ventured, “Was it Lord Ilo who took the altar away?”
Andabella shook her head, “No, there are still so many stones of Divine Nature around the altar…
There is no reason for Lord Ilo to do so, who else in the ruins could compete with him for treasures?”
The statement was flawless; if Lord Ilo had the power to easily take away the altar, he had no need to leave, and they were no threat to him.
“Then why…”
“Something must have triggered an ancient magic array, and Lord Ilo, along with the altar, was taken to another plane…”
Andabella’s pale silver eyes swept across the surroundings. “There are several types of evil aura lingering here, likely left by creatures from that plane…”
Upon hearing this, Ailer furrowed her brows and quickly turned her head to glance around before decisively saying,
“No matter where Lord Ilo has gone, I believe that with his strength, there absolutely won’t be a problem. For now, let’s prioritize collecting the Divine Stones from this ruin. Should the altar disappear and the plane collapses directly, everything we’ve done will be in vain, and we won’t be able to report to him upon his return.”
After a moment of contemplation, Andabella nodded. “You have them start excavating the Divine Stones. I’ll scout around.”
Ailer’s actions were all for the sake of the Divine Stones, for the fate of the elves. The disappearance of Lord Ilo held little significance to this Level 17 Elf Archer Master.
The two parties merely had a relationship of cooperation, far from any sort of intimacy, so it was natural for her to remain indifferent.
But Andabella was different. Lord Ilo reminded her so much of the figure who had saved her in Risier City, yet she couldn’t confirm it, so her heart was not as calm as she appeared.
Before long, Andabella spread her cape and began to explore the area, while the other elves and Betty also arrived at the spot.
Upon seeing the altar and Lide gone, Betty displayed an extremely ugly expression.
Her gaze flickered with icy sharpness, fixating intently on Ailer.
“Where is Lord Ilo?”
The tone of this Northern Royal Family member was as cold as the ice and snow of Frost Month, enough to freeze the earth solid.
Even the aura of killing intent on her began to surge at that moment, and her body, wielding a huge sword, was crouched down like a compressed spring, ready to unleash a deadly attack should the response dissatisfy her.
The elves, sensing the killing intent, were somewhat taken aback, not understanding why this girl, who was Andabella’s friend, would act so aggressively.
Ailer’s eyes shifted slightly, and with some hesitation, she said, “Lady Betty, you know Lord Ilo?”
Seeing Betty’s killing intent intensify, she quickly explained, “According to Miss Andabella’s assessment, Lord Ilo must have touched an ancient transmission array and been sent to another plane. And considering how powerful Lord Ilo is, I believe he wouldn’t have any problems…”
Upon hearing Ailer’s words, Betty suddenly recalled that Lide had told them long ago that his Talent allowed him to resurrect within Dawn City, and that they needn’t worry too much if he was in danger.
With this thought, the killing intent in her eyes slightly dissipated, and the Northern Land Valkyrie chose not to elaborate further.
“Continue the excavation. Besides what the elves need, all the Divine Stones must be reserved for Lord Ilo.”
Hearing Betty’s words, Ailer was instantly certain that there must be a murky relationship between Lord Ilo and Betty. But she was too indifferent to speculate further; at this moment, the Divine Stones were here and the future of the elves laid on the ground before her. As long as Betty did not interfere, even if she was Lord Ilo’s lover, it would be of no concern to the elves.
“That is only proper.”
The ensuing clatter of excavation became the only sound within the plane.
Not long after, Andabella, who had gone to explore, returned to the spot. Seeing Betty standing to the side with a cold face, her expression became slightly curious.
But she didn’t ponder it further and turned to look at the elves frantically excavating the Divine Stones.
“I’ve already scouted the area and didn’t find any trace of Lord Ilo. As for that ancient magic array… perhaps it shattered in the moment of transmission. The powers of the ancient era hold too many mysteries, and there’s much I don’t know either.”
The elves were not surprised upon hearing this, or perhaps they no longer cared, for those small silver trinkets beneath the ground were now their treasures.
“Miss Andabella, for the thing you’re looking for, the Exotic Realm City States of Silver Moon Radiance have something that can substitute for it. The Divine Stones we’ve harvested this time should satisfy our needs,” the Red-eyed Lady, donning a black cloak, said at this moment, her red eyes staring straight at Andabella.
“If you’re willing, you may accompany me to the Exotic Realm City States of Silver Moon Radiance.”
However, Andabella did not share the elves’ joyous expressions, appearing hesitant instead.
“Let’s discuss this after we’ve finished excavating the Divine Stones. We should wait for Lord Ilo, he might return before long…”
The elves, along with the Red-eyed Lady, were somewhat surprised upon hearing this. How could these two proud and aloof girls both care so deeply for Lord Ilo? They didn’t seem to have much interaction, did they?
But since Andabella had said so, they didn’t press further and simply buried themselves in continuing the excavation of the Divine Stones.
Silver Moon Radiance City States?
Betty quietly repeated the name to herself a few times before thoughtfully making a mental note.
The purpose of her joining the elves this time was to ascertain the identity of this Red-eyed Lady.
She didn’t directly inquire because she was unable to gauge the attitudes of these people from Isa toward Isa, so she decided to remain silent for now, observing more before making a decision.
Moreover, now that Lide had noticed this lady’s presence, he should be more concerned than she was…
With this thought, Betty’s brows furrowed even more deeply.
Where exactly had Lord Lide gone?
