Chapter 792: Chapter 494 [Heart of Life]
Elf Country Tirion,
The first ray of morning sunlight, gentle as a slender thread, pierced through the thin mist, lightly brushing over the slumbering earth, waking the sleeping creatures within the forest.
Clear and melodious bird calls sounded like music from the heavens, echoing through the trees, weaving together as a morning chorus of nature, announcing the arrival of a new day.
Dewdrops adorned the tips of vibrant green leaves, shimmering like pearls on emeralds, glowing translucent under the touch of the first sunlight. They became increasingly dazzling, until they could no longer withstand the warmth, trembling gently before elegantly sliding off the leaf tips and into the soft soil below, nourishing the land.
In the depths of the forest, embraced by morning light, the Elf Village that blended naturally with the woods regained its vibrancy after a night of silence, amidst the pleasant birdsong, with Moon Elves emerging from their homes to enjoy the rare good times of the day.
Some Elves began their day’s practice, gathering beneath ancient oak trees with eyes closed in concentration, feeling the breath of the forest, resonating with all living things, merging with nature through meditation, sensing the power of life, and continuously honing their Magic Power.
Others were busy with daily chores, some collecting the morning’s freshest dewdrops for brewing sweet Elf Fruit Wine, and some tending to the fields, taking care of peculiar plants and flowers. Some Moon Elves even cultivated the most ordinary of crops, just like the farmers in the Human Kingdom.
The Moon Elves living in Elf Land naturally did not worry about a shortage of these materials; their cultivation was more out of personal interest, through which they experienced the budding and growth of life.
Of course, the Elf Village was surrounded by this tranquil and splendid atmosphere, like a hidden paradise.
However, this ambiance was swiftly disrupted by a lively young girl.
Daphne skillfully navigated through the giant trees where the Elf Village was situated, occasionally greeting the Moon Elves she met.
“Good morning, Sister Celia!”
…
“Big Brother Sinderson, are you going out again?”
…
“Hey? Not at all!”
Daphne retorted with a puzzled look, countering the queries of familiar faces with smiles, while rushing towards an Elf Tree House at the edge of the village.
On a massive oak tree at the edge of the Elf Village stood a unique Tree House, quietly nestled into the ancient and sturdy trunk, making this Tree House appear more solid and secure than others in the village.
The Tree House was tightly entwined with vibrant vines, like loyal guardians, gradually covering its surface, cloaking it in a layer of green. These vines were also adorned with delicate green leaves and the occasional blossom, adding a playful and vivid touch to the Tree House.
Sunlight filtered through dense leaves, casting mottled shadows, making the Tree House even more mysterious and cozy.
The entrance of the Tree House was slightly different; various beautiful flowers climbed the vines or grew around the doorframe. Several orange-yellow hanging lantern plants adorned the Tree House, creating a dazzling display and emitting a gentle fragrance.
Daphne stood at the entrance of the Tree House, looking contentedly at the well-tended flowers – all her handiwork.
Lis spent her days either holed up in the Library in the village or in her Magic Workshop at home, not knowing what she was doing, truly a waste of the effort Daphne put into these flowers.
“Lis, I’m coming in!”
After pausing briefly outside the door and tending to the flowers, Daphne pushed the door open without hesitation and stepped inside.
Although the outside looked wild and natural, the inside was furnished both comfortably and elegantly.
The Moon Elves had used their dexterous hands and Wisdom to decorate the interior of the Tree House in a style true to Elves, without sacrificing convenience and aesthetic appeal.
The wooden floors and furniture gave off a faint scent of pine, and the walls were adorned with decorations woven from dried flowers and vines. A few well-cared-for potted plants on the windowsill added life and vitality to the entire Space.
Hearing no reply, Daphne knew Lis was probably up all night again, tinkering away in the Magic Workshop.
Daphne originally wanted Lis to stay in the village center, closer to her own home.
However, Lis had approached her after just a few days, requesting a move to this location.
At first glance, the Tree House appeared to be situated on the ground, but in truth, it was expanded underground using special Spells, ensuring the supporting oak tree remained unharmed while providing a reasonably large area.
It was one of the best Magic Workshops in the village, and even so, it couldn’t guarantee the safety of magical experiments, which is why it was placed here, at the edge of the village.
But for Daphne, it merely meant a bit more walking.
Adela had asked Daphne to take good care of Lis, but Daphne thought Sister Adela was thinking too much.
Lis was more formidable than she imagined; on the first day Daphne showed Lis around the village, Lis easily struck up conversations with the villagers.
Even the normally silent and reserved Big Brother Sinderson enjoyed chatting with Lis, probably because Lis was one of the few who could talk with Sinderson about warrior skills, right?
Sinderson even brought out the Elf Fruit Wine he had painstakingly brewed for the celebration and shared it with Lis.
