Carol stood up and glared at Jennifer. “You know exactly what I mean. Mr. Carter will never fall for you. No matter how many new sales you rake in, you are just an insignificant employee in the sales department. Do you have to make trouble for Freya?”
Jennifer was furious when Carol openly embarrassed her, so she lost it altogether. She raised her hands and pulled Carol’s hair. “You b*tch!”

“AHHHH!” Carol screamed sharply. She randomly pulled Jennifer’s clothes down in retaliation.

Freya was stunned for three seconds before she hurriedly stepped forward to pull them apart.

‘When the other colleagues caught sight of this, they also tried to stop the fight.

Freya raised her hand to wrest Jennifer’s hand free of Carol’s hair. She said to Carol, “Why don’t you let go first? Did you have to get into a fight?”

Carol gritted her teeth. Just as she was about to let go, Jennifer waved her hand and slapped Freya across her face with the back of her hand!

Since Jennifer was in a fit of anger, she had used a lot of strength.

Freya’s face was now swollen from the ruthless blow. She stumbled from the impact and fell backward towards a chair behind her.

She automatically shouted in panic. Just as she was about to hit the chair, a strong powerful hand suddenly held her arm and helped her up.

Everyone in the department was astonished.

Despite being in the middle of a fight, Carol and Jennifer quickly straightened their clothes and hair.

Freya suddenly found the man’s scent vaguely familiar. She turned her face sideways and said, “Thank…”

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw the cold serious look on Gideon’s face. She opened her mouth in shock and added, “Thank you, Mr. Carter.”

‘The moment she finished her sentence, she pulled her hand from his grip.

Gideon narrowed his eyes and pondered briefly, before he snapped out of his thoughts.

He looked at Freya and asked, “What happened?”

Freya lowered her head after thanking him. When she heard his voice from above, it felt as though he was showing concern for her.

However, she said nothing.

The man frowned. He looked at Carol and Jennifer who were fighting. Then, he asked coldly, “Who started it?”

Carol bit her lip without saying a word.

Jennifer raised her head and tried to look Gideon straight in the eyes. Sadly, she gave up after a few tries.

Jennifer lowered her eyes. “I started it first, but it was because…”
Before Jennifer could finish her sentence, Gideon interrupted her indifferently. In fact, his voice was beyond cold. “Go to the HR department and collect your cheque. You are no longer an employee of the Carter Group.”
Jennifer was stunned. She clearly did not expect Mr. Carter to fire her.

Jennifer raised her head resentfully and said tearfully, “Mr. Carter, Freya, and Carol started it. Why did I end up being the one who is fired?”

Gideon did not even bother to look at her. Instead, he said to Freya, “Come with me to my office.”
Freya nodded in a daze. “Huh? Okay.”

After Gideon started walking out, the sales manager walked up in front of him anxiously. “Mr. Carter…”
“If this ever happens again, you will be fired next.”

‘The moment Gideon finished his sentence, he walked out of the department leaving the sales manager ghastly pale.

Freya touched her face which was swollen from the slap. She bit her lip and followed behind the man..
