Gideon kept staring at her with his deep profound eyes.

‘The man narrowed his eyes on hearing this. “Is it any of my business if they want to make trouble for you?”

Freya did not know how to answer him. She put on a bold front and looked at him. “Mr. Carter, you are blocking my way. Is there anything you need?”

Gideon adjusted his posture and said expressionlessly, “Did you go for a matchmaking session?”

Freya bit her lip.

Considering the distance between them in the restaurant, he had probably overheard her entire conversation with Kieran.

She raised her hands and shook them sheepishly. “N… no, I didn’t. I was just helping a friend. It was not what it seemed.”

Gideon suddenly wanted to tease her when he saw the anxiety on her face and smiled. “Haven’t you heard? When people try to explain themselves, they are always trying to cover up for something.”
Freya tumed her head and looked regretful.

“How could you ask him how he was in bed? Are you so close to Ashley that you don’t mind sleeping with the same man?”

“It is none of your business,” said Freya angrily before she left.

The man’s husky voice could be heard from behind and it was impossible to ignore him. “If you want to find a man, I don’t mind helping to introduce them to you.”

Freya went quiet.

She halted and turned to look at him.

Any woman would say the same thing about him.

Gideon glanced at Freya and asked curiously, “Tell me what you prefer. Other than his skills in bed, what else do you like? I can find you the right man no matter what you like.”
Freya tumed to look at Gideon and could not help blushing.

He kept looking at her intently as she spoke and she could almost see her reflection in his eyes.

Freya suddenly smiled with her beautiful dimples showing. “Mr. Carter, I told you. I can’t divorce you yet. When the time is right, it is not too late to help me then, okay?”
Gideon watched as she tumed down the offer and spoke in an imploring tone, and he instantly looked annoyed.

Freya tilted her head sideways and pointed at the office. “I am going to work now.”

‘The man looked distant and glacial as he spoke sternly. “In that case, remember you are Mrs. Carter and keep a distance from other men.”

The moment Gideon finished his sentence, he tumed to leave without waiting for her.

Freya stood where she was by herself. She raised her hand and pointed at herself before looking at his disappearing figure and said, “Do you think I want to be Mrs… Carter? I had no choice, you cold idiot!”
