Chapter 47: I Am Your Husband

With her hand on her chin, Ji Anan took notes as she listened to her professor during a lecture. From time to time, she gazed out at the newly sprouted plants outside the window in a daze.

So, she was already a married woman?

“Sana, I need you to help my cousin find a job.” From her backpack, she took out certificates for violin, piano, English, and more.

“How multitalented!” Sana exclaimed as she skimmed through the certificates, then she became even more surprised. “She’s so pretty! Her name is Su Qianmo? She’s like a goddess!”

Ji Anan had attended elite all-girls private schools throughout her childhood, and she had always been treated like a princess. Since Gu Nancheng had always been by her side, and bodyguards followed her everywhere, no man had been able to approach her nor had she ever worked a day in her life!

That night, in front of the dark nightclub’s entrance, tall and willowy French sycamore trees stood upright.

A Bentley was parked on the side of the quiet road. Beiming Shaoxi had a solemn look in his eyes as he remembered that this was where Ji Anan had picked up his phone, and he glanced towards the campus across the street.

A figure with wild curls suddenly appeared on top of the walls surrounding the campus.

“Ji Anan, you get down from there this instant.” A couple of girls next to the walls chased her the entire way and shook their fists at her menacingly.

“See you, shell mouth!” Ji Anan waved at them like a pageant queen.

“What did you just call me?” The leader of the group of girls stomped her foot angrily. “Frizzy hair, how dare you seduce Beiming Yechen? I won’t let you get away with this!”

Were these girls out of their minds?

Beiming Yechen was always the one that came to talk to her every time, so when had they seen her seducing him?

“If you dare come to school tomorrow, we won’t let you get away!” said the other girl vehemently.

Ji Anan jumped down but was suddenly thrust into a wide pair of arms.

Under the sunlight, the man’s handsome and aloof side profile gave him a regal aura, and his entire body was pulling her in like it was a strong electromagnetic field!

This was the north side of the campus, and it was relatively secluded, but the few people that did pass by couldn’t help but stare at the extraordinarily attractive man.

Everyone turned their heads to stare at him.

Ji Anan felt her heart beat faster, and the scene was like one that normally appeared in a lavish oil painting…

It was as if an aristocrat had walked straight out of a painting.

After seeing clearly that the man was Beiming Shaoxi, she pursed her lips and struggled to free herself. “Why is it you?”

“Does Miss Ji always behave so abnormally?”

“Since you’re not my father, this is none of your business!” This was all Beiming Yechen’s fault. Now, she had a bunch of love rivals!

“I’m your husband.” He smiled arrogantly, and his tone was overbearing.

“…”

Ji Anan felt a little choked as the reality hit her. She really was… a married woman now.

With his face tightly scrunched up, Beiming Shaoxi grabbed her arms, led her across the street, and stuffed her into the Bentley.

He put his hands in her pocket… then took away her phone.

“You— What gives you the right to go through someone else’s pockets?!”

Beiming Shaoxi had a frigid expression on his face as he swiped the lock screen, yet after discovering that there was a passcode, he threw the phone back to her and began saying numbers aloud. “This is your husband’s phone number.”

“…” Hearing him call himself her husband was somewhat difficult to become used to.

“If you’re ever in trouble, call me.” Beiming Shaoxi stared at her sulkily and dialed her phone number.

Ji Anan puckered her lips with displeasure and purposely didn’t save his contact number.

“Miss Ji.” Beiming Shaoxi’s dangerous aura suddenly overwhelmed her. “Don’t regret it in the future when there’s no one there to save you when you’re in trouble.”

“Before you appeared in my life, I was fine on my own!”

“From now on, things will be different, because you have me.” He was unapologetically possessive as his rough palms caressed her face. How could he let her endure any more bullying?
