The man in the T-shirt circled on the spot and back again.

Then he pounded his chest and said, “Hua Jinan, you idiot. You’re lying to me.”

Subsequently, he affirmed himself. “You must be lying. I’ve known you for so many years. Almost thirty years? No, no. Hua Jinan remained calm and composed while sipping his red wine. “Just wait and see.”

Seeing Hua Jinan in no rush or hurry, the man in the T-shirt was stunned as he could not tell for sure.

He then sat down again, picked up a glass of red wine, and drank it in one gulp. “An, are you serious?”

Hua Jinan grinned. “Yes!”

“When did you get yourself a girlfriend? How dare you hide it from me. You better introduce her to me now.” The pair of eyes of the man in the T-shirt was gleaming as he looked at Hua Jinan.

Hua Jinan smiled and said, “No way.”

“Why not? We’re best buddies who grew up together.” The man in the T-shirt sounded heartbroken. 

“Because you’re too lecherous,” Hua Jinan said impassively.

“I’m surrounded by hot babes. Why would I be interested in a pregnant woman? What a joke.”

He patted his chest after he finished what he was saying and drew himself closer to Hua Jinan. “Is she pretty?”

Hua Jinan nodded. “Yes!”

“Really? How pretty?” Radiance was beaming in the eyes of the man in the T-shirt. 

Hua Jinan reached out, and a crisp sound was heard after he flicked his finger on the man’s forehead.

“You better focus on picking a virgin flower from your garden and getting married.”

“You know, I was just passing my time. I won’t get married.”

The man in the T-shirt suddenly turned serious.

Hua Jinan raised his eyebrow and looked at him. “Are you still looking for her?”

The man in the T-shirt was startled. “Don’t you have that kind of feeling? The more you can’t find someone, the more you want to find them so badly. It’s addictive.”

Hua Jinan shook his head. “No.”

“I’m doing it now. I have sought her endlessly for three years. I know she’s in this city, but I just can’t find her. So, my mind is set on finding her now.”

“How long has it been since you’ve last seen her?” asked Hua Jinan.

The man in the T-shirt replied, “Six years. The last time I saw her was in court six years ago. After she was locked in, I visited her once. She told me to forget her and refused to see me again.”

Hua Jinan fixed his solemn eyes on him. “If she’s married and became a mother, are you sure you want to find her still?”

The man said with resolute eyes, “Even if she’s married and has kids, I’ll still take her away!”

“Xuan Xiaoran, I bet you don’t even know why you insist on finding her!” Hua Jinan suddenly sounded grave.

This childhood buddy loved to hang out with pretty girls since young. Hence, Hua Jinan did not believe that Xuan Xiaoran would like a girl to such an extent!

“Hua Jinan, I advise you to hide your little wife well. I, Xuan Xiaoran, will find anyone at my wish.” Xuan Xiaoran suddenly gave a sly smile.

“For the past three years, you have been looking for the same girl. How dare you brag to me now.” Hua Jinan threw him a contemptuous smile.

Xuan Xiaoran yelled, “She’s avoiding me deliberately, or else I would have already found her.”

Hua Jinan refused to believe him. “I’m not hiding anyone. Try to find her if you’re up for it.”

“In three days, I’ll take your little wife to seek an audience with your mom.”

Since Hua Jinan even kept it a secret from him, he bet no one in the Hua family knew about it.

True enough, Hua Jinan’s expression changed immediately. “I dare you!”
