Andre took a deep breath and declared emotionlessly, “Catherine, I’ve just told you that I only care for her as an elder would toward a junior. I have no romantic feelings for her!”
Catherine observed Andre’s expression, but she could not detect any vulnerability on his usual cold and handsome face.
After a while, Catherine laughed from the bottom of her heart. “Okay then, I’ll send someone to take care of her now. Come home and have dinner with me, all right?”
“I told you, I don’t want to implicate innocent people. I believe you are very clear about what I mean by this,” Andre uttered coldly.
“Don’t worry, my dear Little An. As long as you agree to accompany me home for dinner, I promise that your assistant will be fine.”
Andre glanced back at Layla and thought for a while before deciding to go back with Catherine.
A victorious smile appeared at the corner of Catherine’s lips as she held onto Andre’s arm and walked out of the ward.
