【Double booking】

Making another promise that overlaps with a prior promise.

Not only have I, Shota Komori, promised to go out with Natsukawa-san and Mayu-nee, but I’m also supposed to have a date with Izumi-san.

…No, I don’t even know what I am talking about.

The cause of the problem is the e-mails I received from the three of them last night.

Immediately after promising to go out with Natsukawa-san, I received an invitation from Mayu-nee.

Of course, I had a prior appointment, so I was going to decline–

[Well then, I’ll meet you at the recently opened Mitsubishi Outlet Mall at 13:00, okay? Ah, and I want to have lunch there, so make sure to come hungry.]

Without waiting for my reply, Mayu-nee specified the place, date and time.

No matter how many emails I sent, she didn’t read them.

I thought, “This is too selfish,” but I didn’t feel comfortable ignoring the situation.

It’s a guilt trip to not go when I’ve been invited and I haven’t been able to decline.

So at this point, the decision was to have a double booking.

But this is where the furious adjustment began.

This is because Izumi-san told me,

[Shota-san… If you like, would you be willing to go out with me tomorrow? I’m afraid I’ll get depressed if I stay at home…]

What an email I received!

Izumi-san just witnessed the two-timing of her boyfriend, Kengo Ohashi. It’s certainly true that staying at home isn’t good for her mental health.

As for me, I had no reason to refuse her invitation. I was full of the desire to distract her by going out and talking to her.
