Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: Sister, Does the Kitty Eat Candy?
Back at the apartment, regardless of the circumstances, Jasmine Yale got her emotions under control.
No matter how upset she felt, she didn’t want it to affect Yukon Carbon.
Besides, it was just an unconfirmed rumor.
“Meow–”
Sweet Kitty rolled over in Jasmine’s arms.
“Baby, Jasy will take you downstairs to play for a bit,” Jasmine picked it up.
Yukon was busy in the kitchen and glanced over at the living room, “You take Sweet Kitty out for a walk, just make sure to come back in time for dinner.”
“I’ll bother Mr. Carbon then, call Aunt Camden to join us for dinner too!”
“My mom always despises the food I cook; she probably won’t want to come.” Yukon smiled, “Go have fun.”
Yukon’s tall figure cast a shadow on the kitchen floor, and Jasmine watched him for a long time.
After a while, she carried Sweet Kitty downstairs.
There were many lively, adorable children downstairs.
Sweet Kitty was excited and kept trying to jump out of Jasmine’s arms.
It must have been bored at home too.
Jasmine, fearing it would get cold, only dared to let it play nearby in the warm corridor, not allowing it to wander off.
Sweet Kitty was well-behaved and didn’t run around or cause any trouble for Jasmine, amusing itself on its own.
Watching Sweet Kitty, Jasmine very much desired to have a baby.
Downstairs, there were children who especially liked Sweet Kitty and came to play with Jasmine.
“Sister, may I hold your kitty?” asked a mixed-race little girl who approached.
The little girl had big, bright eyes and chubby cheeks.
She squatted in front of Jasmine, looking expectantly at Sweet Kitty on the ground.
“Of course,” Jasmine loved playing with children.
Sweet Kitty was a bit shy at first and somewhat reluctant, but the little girl gently stroked it with her small hand.
It quickly settled down lazily in the little girl’s arms, looking very comfortable.
After raising it for half a year, Sweet Kitty had only gained a little weight and still felt small and soft in her arms.
“Sister, I really like your kitty. Please bring it out to play more, okay?” the little girl asked with big, innocent eyes, and in a babyish voice, looked up at Jasmine.
“Sister likes you very much too.”
Jasmine squatted on the ground, smiling and stroking the little girl’s head.
“Meow–”
Sweet Kitty looked up pitifully at Jasmine. Did Jasy not want it anymore?
Why did Jasy like children so much?
“Sister, does the kitty eat candy? I have some candy…”
“Kitties don’t eat that. You can keep it for yourself,” Jasmine replied.
“Then I’ll give it to you,” said the little girl, reaching into her pocket and taking out a piece of milk candy, “Here.”
Jasmine was pleasantly surprised, “Thank you.”
The balance of Jasmine’s emotions settled a lot as she looked at the vast expanse of white snow outside, her mood slightly calming.
However, the word “Dad” still wrapped around her heart like a thread.
She closed her eyes and tried her best not to think about it.
“Sister, come home with your kitty for dinner. We have a lot of yummy food at my house, right over there!” the little girl said, pointing to a floor in the building.
“Not now; my family’s meal is almost ready. I’ll bring the kitty to eat with you next time.”
“Okay then.”
Jasmine enjoyed spending time with children–it was simple and not tiring. There were no hidden meanings in their words, no need to guess or ponder.
She didn’t want too many emotions to affect her and had a lot of fun playing with the little girl.
Influenced by Jasmine, Sweet Kitty began to like children too and played with them.
A few children were making a snowman, and Jasmine even went over to help them.
