Chapter 940: [940] I’m just afraid of falling for you
“Li Xuan, don’t be anxious. I’ve spoken to my mom and we’ll have someone explain things to your family when the time comes,” Xie Wanying said.
“Who–” Wu Lixuan lacked confidence that anyone could help her deal with her two relatives at home.
“Trust me,” Xie Wanying said, with great confidence in Senior Cao.
Wu Lixuan thought it over, her childhood friend was always right when she spoke with such certainty, since as a doctor she often insisted on being realistic.
“If you’re still anxious tonight and need rest for your body now, let Doctor Yin prescribe some medicine for you, so you can get a good night’s sleep and feel better when you wake up in the morning. You should be able to trust Doctor Yin.”
She trusted her childhood friend’s words the most, so Wu Lixuan looked into the eyes before her for a moment before immediately lowering her head: “Got it.”
Seeing she was alright, Yin Fengchun then took a cup of hot water for her to take her medication, sat down, and slowly said, “You don’t have to take it if you don’t want to. I can stay here and chat with you so you won’t feel so anxious.”
Huang Zhilei and Zhou Junpeng, upon hearing this, realized that this usually cold guy was actually offering to chat with a girl, and had to admit that being in love really changes a person.
Doctor Yin didn’t think that way, though; he believed in showing consideration to his patients. Naturally, it’s best to avoid medication if possible.
“No, I’ll take the medicine,” Wu Lixuan took the pill from his hand and swallowed it. Talking with him really scared her, like now, looking at his gentle eyes also scared her, fearing her heart might be stirred again.
After learning that her childhood friend had taken the medicine and gone to sleep, Xie Wanying temporarily calmed her heart.
“The porridge has gone cold,” Cao Yong noticed the porridge had gone from too hot to too cold, and called the waiter to take it back to the kitchen to heat it up again.
“Senior, it’s alright, I can’t eat it hot anyway,” Xie Wanying said, not wanting to delay Senior Cao’s time.
“No, it will cause stomach upset if you eat it cold.”
Hearing Student Xie being sternly scolded by Senior Cao, the two classmates standing by remembered what they were supposed to be doing.
Student Li reacted faster than the class president and said to Xie Wanying, “Yingying, take your time eating with Senior Cao, we’ll leave first.”
Yue Wentong nodded his head, having come to check on Student Xie on behalf of the counselor and seeing nothing major; he left with Student Li first.
“They say your mother–” Cao Yong remembered hearing about cured pork, “makes delicious cured pork.”
“Do you want to eat some, Senior? I still have some in my dorm,” Xie Wanying said, she would have brought some of her mother’s cured pork to Senior’s home had she known earlier.
Cao Yong smiled and nodded slightly at her.

That evening, the two senior girls who came back to the dorm were startled by her face and said, “We should ask someone from pharmaceutical studies what to do.”
As Lau Jingyun and He Xiangyu whispered together, they realized they didn’t know any senior pharmaceutical students.
Xie Wanying decided to look up the information herself, she had to solve this problem in the next few days to avoid frightening patients when she returned to work at the hospital.
Early in the morning, she slung her backpack over her shoulder and set out for the school library.
While walking, she received a call from Li Xuan’s younger brother.
“Sister Yingying, was it you who found someone?” Wu Chuangyao asked.
It seemed that Senior Cao had found someone reliable to send to the Wu Family, Xie Wanying nodded: “How are your parents?”
“Last night after my aunt and uncle got a phone call from someone, they said they couldn’t accompany my parents to find my elder sister. When my parents heard this, they didn’t dare to go,” Wu Chuangyao said, “This morning I called my elder sister and a man answered, saying he was my elder sister’s primary doctor, and that she was almost healed. I don’t know if it’s true or not.”
“That’s Doctor Yin,” Xie Wanying assured him it was the truth.
Wu Chuangyao felt relieved, “My sister always says Sister Yingying is the most reliable.”
She became so engrossed in the phone conversation that she wasn’t paying attention to where she was going.
“Be careful, there’s a tree ahead–” someone shouted from behind as a warning.
Xie Wanying looked up and nearly smashed her head into a tree trunk.
Someone came running up behind her, looked at her, and asked, “Did you hit your head?”
