“No, it was a novel recommended by a fan, adapted into a series. Apparently, the original was the top of the novel charts last year. Has everyone’s taste become this extreme?”

“If you don’t like it, you could just turn it down.”

The thought of pulling out a million cash from his pocket as a form of pampering made Cary feel a little abnormal as well.

“Enough about me, what’s gotten into you, hitting me up out of the blue today?”

Ye Xian tried to suppress the laughter on his face, thinking about how to broach the subject.

“Save it! With your acting?” Cary mocked, “I’ve seen your ‘skills’ before. It’s enough to fool your fans, but don’t try to pretend with me.”

Ye Xian: “Really? Have you watched ‘Business World’?”
