The sudden male voice startled Su Yanxi. She looked over in surprise, but the coldness in the man’s eyes made her unable to understand his thoughts. She pursed her lips slightly and looked ahead before she answered calmly, “No.”
“Are you still thinking about a divorce?” Lu Jingyan threw a meaningful glance at her, his handsome face clearly darkening.
Su Yanxi froze slightly, not expecting him to ask such a question so directly. She looked at him again with her lips moving slightly. However, for some reason, she could not say anything when she saw his sinister expression.
The car suddenly fell into silence. The two of them did not break the strange atmosphere until the car reached the riverside villa. Su Yanxi got out of the car and saw the man, who was originally two steps slower than her, walk in front of her and head upstairs.
Su Yanxi frowned. She had a feeling that the man was angry just now, but she did not probe further. After all, Lu Jingyan’s heart was like a needle at the bottom of the sea which was hard to grasp.
Su Yanxi did not see Lu Jingyan in the bedroom after she came out of the bathroom after washing up. When she went to get a glass of water from downstairs to drink, she passed by the study room and realized that the door was left ajar. She thought for two seconds before walking to the door and looking through the crack of the door. She realized that Lu Jingyan was flipping through a book in front of the bookcase. She quietly retracted her hand on the door handle. She turned around and went downstairs without disturbing him.
As usual, there was no one beside her when she woke up the next morning. She was not surprised at all. She only felt that the other side was too neat and did not look like someone had slept on it.
It seemed like he did not sleep in the bedroom last night.
When she went downstairs, Su Yanxi subconsciously walked around the living room but did not see him. In the end, she heard movement in the kitchen, so she turned around. She saw a tall figure standing in front of the counter, brewing coffee.
Su Yanxi walked over and opened the fridge naturally. She took out the milk and asked casually, “Have coffee so early in the morning?”
“Mm-hmm, I’m just trying to calm myself down,” Lu Jingyan replied lightly. His cold eyes were not looking at her.
Su Yanxi glanced at his back and closed the door of the fridge, “Drinking coffee in the morning is not good for your health. It’s better to drink some milk!” Although her tone was calm, it could not hide the concern in her voice.
Lu Jingyan finally turned back to look at the beautiful figure standing behind him when he heard that. His gaze was fixed on her pretty face for a few seconds before he calmly walked away, “There’s no need to. I have a consultation in the morning.”
After watching him sit on the sofa and rub his temples, Su Yanxi poured the milk into a glass and walked over, “You didn’t sleep well last night?”
She said this without any hesitation or consideration. After she finished speaking, Su Yanxi was stunned for a moment. She stopped drinking her milk and glanced at the man from the corner of her eye. She happened to notice that he was looking at her too and instantly felt a little awkward.
