The entire room suddenly fell silent. The three men stared at Su Yanxi in disbelief. One of them let go of Deputy Director Chen’s collar and walked in front of her, glaring at her viciously, “Who do you think you are? This sudden turn of events stunned everyone. They stared at the scene with their eyes wide open. Lu Jingyan, who was beside Su Yanxi, was the first to react. His eyes were filled with bloodlust as he forcefully separated the woman’s hand from Su Yanxi’s hair and said in a threatening voice, “Let go.”

Su Yanxi was a little surprised by his actions. She allowed him to carry her as she stared at his tensed up face in a daze. It was only when they reached his office and he gently placed her on the flat bed that she gradually regained her senses.

“Does it benefit you to act tough? Aren’t you getting yourself beaten up?” Just as she calmed down, a male voice laced with strong blame and mockery floated over her head. “Su Yanxi, you’ve shown me something new again. I’ve just seen how brainless you are.”
